Robby Gordon was on Claire B Lang's show on XM Radio tonight ( 8-29-12 ) and he is not too happy about getting fined 25k for the helmet toss ( No fine for Tony Stewart for his throw ) .

Recap -In 2005, Robby Gordon got fined 25k from nascar for the helemt toss on Mike Waltrip, plus a 10k fine for his TV interview ( dropping the SHIT bomb ) . Tony Stewart throws his helmet at Matt Kenseth, receives no fine.

Ya gotta listen to a snippet from the XM radio replay on 8-29 with Claire B Lang

With or with out clothes?

You gotta run for some form of public office

I always think of it as odd that NASCAR uses those same "Actions Detrimental to Stock Car Racing" to promote stock car racing.

X 2 !!!

Is helmet tossing going to be allowed in stadium super trucks

Robby should just write into the rule book now....."Penalties will be assessed for a weak helmet toss or if the the helmet misses the intended target".

Some people believe in Conspiracy Theories, others just know the truth. NASCAR has been out to eliminate Robby Gordon from contention (and it worked) in their premier series. From the announcers who did the Play by Play at his win at Loudon, all the way to the top brass of NASCAR itself. Robby purposely received no breaks from NASCAR, ever. And here's the irony - who the bigger punk? Tony or Robby. Ask the old man on his golf cart in the Daytona tunnel or the track owner in Australia.

Tony ain't a southern boy either though . He's from Indiana and grew up in midgets and sprint cars .

i just listened to it, reminds me of when he kicked the Ford logo.

have not thought about that Ford logo kick in a while...."That sound you hear are bridges being burned", he we all have bad days, but that was something that was not good for RG and Ford Cosworth

Probably not a good idea to talk about Helton that way if he ever intends on racing in NASCAR again... doesnt sound like he does though

If he doesnt intend on going back, could be fun to read a tell all book about NASCAR haha.

Agreed. If nascar wants to get back to where they we're they need an independent body to manage the racing, similar to the SST setup. Look at the greatest form of car racing, IMO, F1 uses an independent body to manage the racing, rules, ect. Without this NASCAR is just a money making machine which will just be the cause of its own demise. When you put profits ahead of quality you'll eventually get burnt.
