Yes to start replacing the actual case was going to be my next step.
Thanks for the tip as it makes me feel less like I am shooting in the dark.

Unless your entire motor mount isn't aligning with the spur gear and driveline properly, you have two separate issues.

Spur gear - Looking straight down on the spur/pinion gear, make sure that the entire face of the pinion is square and contacting the entire surface or the spur gear. If it isn't, shift the pinion on the motor shaft until it is. Then, use a piece of paper between the spur and pinion to set the mesh correctly. Too tight, and you'll heat up the driveline and hurt your runtime (and spur gear). Too loose and you'll likely take the teeth off the spur gear.

Bearings - What kind of bearings are you replacing them with? If they're standard bearings, they're cheap bearings and can easily get dirt in them. Dirt kills bearings, and fast. Especially high speed ones like that particular one is. Make sure you're at least replacing them with a dual metal shielded bearing, or even a rubber or Teflon shielded one. Metal shielded ones will spin faster, but allow more dirt in. They'll need to be maintained with a couple drops of oil (or dry lubricant) to keep them at their optimal performance.

Hello Brett,
Do you by chance have a preffered brand to try?
At this point I just want to be able to enjoy my toy.

Carl let us know how you make out . I've been checking all the forums and aftermarket manufactures so far nothing but ill keep checking .

Boca bearings are good, I'm just not sure of the size you need for that specific spot. Since I'm not sure how open that area is for getting dirt in it, I'd probably err on the side of caution and get something like a Teflon sealed bearing to start. That will shield the bearing and still allow for a high RPM application without burning up the bearing seals.

Well i'm starting on yet another RC project tell me what you all think . Which body should i go with ? Heres some shots of the chassis .

Here are the 2 bodies im considering the 1st one in red is a Ford F-150 Raptor and the 2nd one in Bigfoot colors is a Ford F-250 tell me what you all think ?

New version Slash just came out . This time Robby Mac

Congrats to yet another Planeteer on winning the RDC caption contest . Our own Dave Horwath won the SPEED Energy Slash they were giving away .

and he doesn't even like RC's lol. That's great. Whats he doing with it?

Why don't you ask HIM? LOL...He's actually a nice guy...

Yeah he's a pretty cool guy but from what I hear he's kinda an old fart .

I'm sure he is. I didn't mean anything by my post, just thought it was ironic lol.
