The way his car runs in relation to Evernham cars makes you wonder. At Pocono Kahne was fastest while Robby was slowest. Indy is similar in setup and I dringe at thought of his car being underpowered.in comparison to other Dodges.

No prolbem with the dodge power, they are better than the fords and the engine itself is less in weight. When we had the ford engine we dropped our car off at the dnyo and we never saw the numbers, with the GEM engine our guys are allowed in the dyno room , see the graphs and bring the numbers back with them, see the overlays on power, torque and coast verse the other GEM cars, all their primary engines go out the door within 3 hp and backups go out within 5. RG himself has gone to the dnyo to see this. If anything our coast down numbers are usually higher than theirs. As far as the chassis goes the RGM chassis i think is easier to work on, doesnt take alot of eccentric parts that chew up valuable track time to change in practice and work well from what all the data at the 7 post and morse rig.
Now that's some good info Chris. Thanks for that
Ditto that... thanks a lot Chris.
I'm glad to see GEM is being more forthcoming with the data than Ford/Rousch.....but like I always say, Jack Rousch is the devil!!!
Thanks for the info Chris, that was a lot better than speculating.
Excellent info Chris. Thanks a million.
Nice to have insight,
Thanks for the straight scoop bro!
Chris,
I hate to ask in a way but since you are so candid I will. What is the problem? We all know that Robby can drive the sh** out of a race car. And I know that with the new car every one has a lot to learn. And I know that with the four car teams they can put different set ups on each car and get a lot more data. But it looks like that every once in a while that RGM would accidentally hit on a good set up and be in the running for a win. The road course and plate track cars are at the very least "real solid" but the intermediate and short track cars seem to suck out loud. I know you guys work hard and everything so what is it? Is it lack of test time because of $$$$. The biggest bang for the buck looks like would be to improve the 1 1/2 mile cookie cutter type tracks since more races are on them than any other type.
BTW, it is good to have you on here. Everybody wants you guys to do well and to actually hear from someone there is great.

Thanks a bunch,
BRR
Not to put a damper on Chris' posting, and Chris thanks for the information, but if things are that good with the motor and the chassis, then what bites the team with the finishes? There is gap somewhere that is holding the team back from being in the top 20. Is it in the Shop, at the track, or with the pit row calls?
Driver? Funny how nobody points the finger at the driver. It's possible RG just flat out sucks on some racetracks. No biggie !
Well that sure shut'em up. LOL.
