Mike, RG could still cover the cost of running this site and it would be like pennies to him. I'm retired and every chunk of $100 that I use is important.

He doesn't and donations are not the only basis for membership.

Bruce, nice try brother. There is plenty of great info and entertainment at The Planet that is absolutely free. The owner of this site can monetize it any way he wants. But then, because it is a forum, I guess you are "welcomed" to negotiate for your interest too.

Try your spiel with your cable TV provider, or your internet provider, and let's us know how it goes. Try it at AMA Supercross, or the Lucas Pro Outdoor series. Try it at MXGP. Those guys are really stingy with their video. Try it at the grocery store where you buy Dune Buggies & Hot VW's magazine.

I love this site. I honestly feel a little guilty for all the enjoyment I get, for as little as I pay. I think I bought a couple of Dakar bumper stickers a couple of years ago, and that's about it.

Yes. Sadly Fox news has it on their website. When we raced Mexico crazy close calls were common. The rules in off road racing for SNORE / MORE have helped a lot in controlling these bad decisions by spectators. The "idiot" just has a broken leg and it was also reported Robby stopped and made sure this guy got medical help.

All 3 accidents are being discussed on RDC ( the 1st one with the buggy taking down the phone pole , 2nd one with Lopez hitting and flipping a civilian truck on course and Robby's accident ) and with the exception of the buggy wreck mostly the general consensus is it was just plain stupidity on the spectators part . The buggy one was really just an unfortunate fluke .

Too bad about hitting the fan. It is amazing that a few don't get killed each year. Dakar isn't much better nor is WRC. Glad to hear that RG stopped.

BTW, Score has RG finishing 13th now in the 500.

Congrates on the 2nd in the X-Games. Anyone know if he is doing the Race of Champions again this year?

ROC, to early to tell. RG is scheduled for Goodwood the last weekend of the month. And Toronto is this weekend.
