I was there. It was the beginning of my appreciation for RG. One thing I remember is they told RG after the race on the scanner "your cousin Jeff won the Nascar race today" For the longest time I thought they were related! LOL. great day.

I was in the Dorricott Racing suite watching the race! I was a guest of the Travel Channel, they sponsored Robbie Buhl in the Indy Lights race (along with Racing For Kids). Robbie raced for Dorricott's team. Robbie B finished 2nd that morning to Greg Moore.

Other then RG's win the most memorable part of that race was how I got into the suite. The Travel Channel was a very low budget channel back then. When I got to the track the Travel rep informs me that they didn't have enough passes for the suite so we needed to go in one at a time and hand the credential to the next "guest". They brought in about 6 people on one pass. High class!
