Adelaide, South Australia ( February 16, 2015) - Clipsal 500 Adelaide organizers today announced the full driver line-up for the Toyo Tires Stadium Super Trucks Presented by Traxxas (SST) race, which will be the Australia debut of the world’s newest and most exciting form of racing.

SST founder and two-time series champion Robby Gordon will be the star attraction when these 600 horsepower V8 trucks line up on the starting grid for next week’s Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.

The Toyo Tires Stadium Super Trucks race will see high profile local and international drivers racing side by side in 10 high powered off-road trucks. The trucks approach speeds of up to 140 mph and ramps can launch the trucks 20 feet into the air and 150 feet down the track.

The starting line-up for the debut of the SST Series in Australia includes five drivers who have competed in the Stadium Super Truck Series previously; Venezuelan IndyCar driver E.J. Viso , rising star Keegan Kincaid, Charles Dorrance, Bill Hynes, and the future of off-road racing, 17 year-old Sheldon Creed.

The Australian contingent eager to impress in their first outing behind the wheel of a Stadium Super Truck consists of; off-road motorcycle racer Toby Price, off-road racing legend Brad Gallard, former V8 Supercars driver and 24-hour Bathurst winner Nathan Pretty and Australia’s most prolific stunt rider Matt Mingay.

Although accustomed to off-road racing on two wheels, Toby Price will be on a high heading into the Clipsal 500 Adelaide after recently becoming just the second Australian to stand on the winners’ podium at the grueling Dakar Rally, clinching third overall after the final stage in Argentina.

The SST’s will hit the track at the 2015 V8 Supercars season opener on Thursday, February 26th, with specially designed jumps added to the iconic Adelaide street circuit and racing scheduled to run over four days.

“Stadium Super Trucks have become hugely popular at motor racing events in the United States and we’re very excited to be hosting the first ever Stadium Super Trucks event outside of North America,” said Clipsal 500 CEO Mark Warren.

Toyo Tires has acquired the naming rights sponsorship of the Australian debut of Stadium Super Trucks presented by TRAXXAS at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide. Supporting sponsors of the series include; Clipsal By Schneider Electric, Traxxas, Hoggs Breath Café, Jet Pilot and GoPro.

Competition on track is set to be fierce as the trucks literally fly through Victoria Park, featuring drivers from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds.

I had my challenges with this, hard to take customer calls/orders while doing weird time zone conversions

The SSTs gonna be on NBCSports channel again this yr too ? Hope so then the hardest part is just setting the DVR lol .

kurt Busch coming into the game MJ???

HELL FRICKEN NO !!!!!

Why not ???? Is his choice of driving sanctions being a NASCAR driver that repulsive or is this three ring circus he seems to be involved in the cause. I myself find all this "She's a hit man" stuff quite comical and perhaps he's a loose board but this woman had her son standing next to him right up to the very day. Closed doors hide very much and if Denny Hamlin grabbed Danicas fire suit the way she grabbed his he would be a "fill in the blank". The whole court case was a needless run of events and perhaps having him drive anything bigger than a golf ball from this day till the coals cool is certainly taboo. Never believe what you hear and only half of what you see, trust me I've seen plenty O' fish hooked hard that were as inocent as rain. It will be interesting to see where he lands if he is ever given the chance....

She got what she wanted, and that was to ruin his career. another black eye for nascar with there decision making choices.

Nascar is wrestling , more than ever now. I'm glad Robby is not part of it anymore.

MJ , doesn't know any more or less than I do , that's just opinion

Yes I know that MK for sure. However this thread is his row to hoe so.....

When the hell did it become MY thread ? I didn't even start it As for Kurt no one even mentioned him til you did . Since you did there's a reason both NASCAR and Chevy dropped him . It's called BAD PUBLICITY . Regardless if he did or did not ISNT really the issue here . He's got a bad reputation that's only been further enhanced by all his other public tyrades . If NASCAR ( which is supposed to be the beat all end all of motorsports ) don't want him WHY IN THE HELL WOULD SST . That's all I'm gonna say about the subject , THIS IS A ROBBY / SST Australia thread , you wanna discuss it more go to a nascar forum I'm sure they'de love to hear from you.

35 minutes more to go ... then practice time

and something to watch ... while waiting : https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=731793516919916

That's AWESOME . Cool idea with the drivers name and home country flag .
