STAGE 7 TRACKING

STAGE 7: IQUIQUE > UYUNI

Connection 396km | Special Stage 321km | Total 717km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Numerous difficulties will mark the first part of the Bolivian marathon stage. The cars will tackle it first, followed by the motorcycles the next day. Right from the outset, the long liaison section will mean an early start, followed by a gradual climb to a height of more than 3,500m. Once on the high plateaux, the special stage will begin, with instructions to follow the roadbook with great care, in light of the large number of junctions on the route. One of the challenges of the day could be wear and tear on tyres. Once they have arrived in Uyuni, the competitors will only have completed half of the marathon stage.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

I had a goal getting there, getting back was the hard part.

I'm outa coffee filters! :(

Tracker is still not working.
All I see is start times for the cars.
I get nothing if I try to click on bikes or anything else.

rest day for bikes and lawnmowers

If it is rest day for bikes that would splain why I do not see them yet.

Hi Carl, nothing to track yet!

Some more pic from yesterday

Dakar produces a lot of great racing pictures no matter who the subject is. I'd love to give it a try with my camera.

(Know it's not Dakar or Robby, just an excuse to post a sample of some of my work)

The first cars have reached the start of today's special. 137 cars began the rally in Buenos Aires, but there are only 80 left in the race, a number that will surely decrease after today and tomorrow's marathon stage

Will we finally see a mini fall out today?
