STAGE 4 TRACKING

STAGE 4: CHILECITO > COPIAPO

Connection 594km | Special Stage 315km | Total 909km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The competitors will have to prove they are worthy of entering Chile! A very early start and a climb to a height of 4,800 metres will precede the border crossing at Paso San Francisco. The really challenging section will begin with a gradual warm-up on the mining tracks, before drivers are faced with the reality of the Atacama Desert. The route here is open and sandy. Over the course of the last 40 kilometres, the giant dunes and basins of Copiapo will have to be tackled and for many this will be at night. Overcoming them will require finesse and instinct.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

It's still a sequential trans with a clutch!

I forget that this is only year 2 in the development cycle for the Gordini. So if it improves again for next year we should be in great shape. But I still think we can put up a good showing this year. 5 hours is a big hole but, there are still 10 stages to go. That's a lot of racing yet.

Yup even though its a test session now, lets get some stage wins!! It got deleted but Pistol is cool too! LOL

Si yo fuera gordon pondria un par de buenos ingenieros a solucionar de forma efectiva los problemas de sobrecalentamiento en el auto. La clave es esa porque piloto sobra. Alguien que tradusca esto pliss
There are several cars 4 to 5 hours behind the leader. I think Robby & Johnny could make their way into the top 25 or higher if they have some good runs. I've been reading a lot of negative comments about Robby's Dakar efforts on RDC and some on here. I don't think everyone understands just how difficult this race is. Dakar is like racing a whole season of SCORE and BITD all in two weeks. Not to mention that you have to drive your race car to each race. Think positive RG fans and haters!

TY

No hating.....
I am pissed at Robbies suppliers. They let him down.
The brake and clutch suppliers did not meet there promises... They know the application for these parts. RGMS paid for parts that did not perform, period.

I just want to see Robby do well...

Yes thank you John , glad to see there's more than just me and the few loyal fans that still believe in Robby . All I've been seeing is Robby should do this and Robby should do that . Negative this and negative that . What we SHOULD BE saying is DONT GIVE UP ROBBY ! KEEP FIGHTING ROBBY ! and WE BELIEVE IN YOU ROBBY !
Soo u can't say anything factual when things r going bad or that makes u a hater? He's a big boy he does not care what negative things r said about him, I'm glad u feel like ur protecting him in some way though or making urself come off as the only TRUE fans on here, I've been tracking Dakar since the vw days don't come off as putting urself on a level of a better fan, makes u seem a little starved for attention. Btw it's a forum and people r gonna say what they wana say. He's gonna keep fighting he's not gonna give up that's y we love him, as far as believing I'm pretty sure he wants to win a Dakar and doesn't give a rats ass who believes in him. That RG! Gas on
Thing is we ALREADY know things ain't going good and ROBBY knows things aren't going good too . All these so called " haters " are doing is rubbing salt in the wounds . In no way am I saying I'm the ONLY TRUE FAN on here , as I know there's a hell of a lot more than just me that bleed orange and black . All I'm saying is if you love Robby like you say you do why bring up the obvious , instead believe that Robby is doing the best he can and is putting his blood sweat and tears into this . John himself said it best " THINK POSITIVE RG FANS AND HATERS "
I'm saying some piddly post on a forum by the lunatic fringe means nothing to Robby he's gonna race his ass off I assume we're all pulling for Robby and I know he's racing wide open he doesn't half ass anything, but what people say isn't going to change anything, he's not loosing sleep over some posts on a forum, I am an rg fan to the end. I am assuming that all the people getting up early or staying up late to track this event are pulling for Robby too, but they have the right to post and I'm sure there is a lot of frustration among fans as well as Robby i still wana see him win stages and I'll be tracking till the end no matter what

Not hating per say, just bummed at no chance for the win. TEST TEST TEST. I completely understand how hard it is.
