This is great ............I would have chimed in earlier but not remembering how to type and not being able to see were at war with one another............what can I say

I wonder if SST, is going to extend into the 4x4 parking area. The fact that the track has a 4x4 parking area both makes me laugh and smile.

Would you like to learn more about the location of the race ..Barbatos......if you feel modern and would like to fit in with modern society go to wikipedia...where you will find right off the bat that it is located in the North Atlantic.(that's an ocean)......and on our right we have common core education....and if you look closely you'll notice that nobody cares...unless they walk into a pole while looking at their phone.......All I wanted to see was what the (if any) cigar situation was........and here I learn it's in the North Atlantic.....what a fool I was to trust what I learned in school....keep it baby keep it.

Pretty sure it's NBCSN that will air ROC a week after the actual race, they've been talking about it off and on for about a week or so now..

A little explanation about this race for those not familiar with it.

The Race of Champions is an international motorsport event held at the end of each year, featuring some of the world's best racing and rally drivers. It is the only competition in the world where stars from Formula One, World Rally Championship, IndyCar, NASCAR, sportscars and touring cars compete against each other, going head-to-head in identical cars.

The race was first organised in 1988 by former rally driver Michèle Mouton and Fredrik Johnsson, IMP (International Media Productions) President. Originally the event was a competition between the world's best rally drivers, but has since expanded to include top competitors from most of the world's premier motorsport disciplines, including motorcycle racing.

The top individual overall in The Race Of Champions is given the title "Champion of Champions", and receives the Henri Toivonen Memorial trophy. The ROC Nations' Cup was added in 1999 and now features teams of two drivers who compete for their country.

The event has taken place in several venues, including 12 years on Gran Canaria from 1992 to 2003. More recently, the event has been held in major sporting stadiums, including the Stade de France in Paris, Wembley Stadium in London, the Beijing National Stadium, Düsseldorf's ESPRIT arena and the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok. In 2014, the event will be held at the Bushy Park circuit in Barbados.

Robby raced in 2001 and impressed everybody. I think he broke the track record. He also rolled over at least once :)

Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Colin Edwards won the Nations cup in 2002, the only time the USA won.

In 2008 Carl Edwards surprised the world by defeating the geat Michael Schumacher in the quarter finals. He went on to lose against David Coulthard from F1 in the semi final.

About Michèle Mouton, the original organizer of the event, she drove the mighty Audi Quattros from group B in the early 80s and won some WRC rallies against the best drivers of the time. She also won Pikes Peak in 1985, breaking the track record. She was one hell of a race car driver.
