STAGE 7 TRACKING

STAGE 7: SALTA > SALTA

Connection 230km | Special Stage 533km | Total 763km

COURSE OVERVIEW

This mega loop with a 500-km long special stage on the agenda will test the teams’ ability to adapt to changes of pace. After stony terrains at the beginning of the day, some top speeds will be recorded in the second part of the stage, and then the drivers’ road techniques will be tested, and all of this at an average altitude of almost 3,500m. To end this highly emotional day, they will have to cross a vast salt flat extending over twenty or so kilometres: a straight stretch which will make the competitors’ heads spin.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Talking about Peterhansel has anyone invited him to run a SCORE Race?. A few of those 1 Billion fans watching the Dakar, would be interested in seeing how he goes against Robby.. Seb Loeb would be another one, especially how he went at Pikes Peak.

Another? Dude does have priors and convictions it seems.

That was why Andy quit in the middle of the rally and Terranova had to withdraw

Only 15 min? Do they call that a "Mini Penalty"?

Zactly!!

#128 Juan Sebastian Toro is the rider as I recall,he was out after stage 4

As far as the engine goes they are using one of GMs best pieces LS7 is bullet proof . The fact they are using it with a restrictor plate the engine is not taxed that hard..they make about 600 horse without restrictor about 400 at best with it..As far as damage internally from overheating..If it had a head gasket or cracked head it would not make it 5 miles burnt up..If he drove it in its good to go..These engines with today's oils will take a lot of shit like you cannot believe. That exactly why he uses one..

Made it home and on to tomorrow. High altitudes and hot tempatures... I bet they throw every trick in the book at it before it is over. Do you think RG would consider sending it to another rally in preparation for next year? Even if he isn't driving... that Ruta 40 or whatever its called seems to over the same course partially and is in October I believe (I might be totally wrong about all aspects of that statement). IDK but I bet RG will do whatever makes sense for his program.

He really needs to debug the overheating issue. He did not have it with the Hummer.

June. I kinda agree but thats alotta dough for testing when Score just added so many races.

I know its costly but to me Score doesn't do anything that compares.

Maybe Diabalico in April but that's most likely a little lightweight for the data needed.
