Cool stuff! This is from the email blast!

Charlotte, N.C. (October 18, 2013) – Caesars Palace Las Vegas has hosted some of the greatest entertainment acts in the world – from Evel Knievel, to Frank Sinatra and Celine Dion, to the Formula One World Championship events in 1981 and 1982. On Thursday, November 7, 2013, taking part simultaneously with the automotive industry’s premier trade show, SEMA, Las Vegas history will once again be made as the SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks™ event (SST) makes its way to Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip.

The race track for this special one-day only event will be constructed in front of Caesars Palace. High-flying SST trucks will propel past The Colosseum and through the Caesars Palace marquee. Fans will be thoroughly entertained as the high horse-powered SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks battle door-to-door, drifting around the seven-turn asphalt racecourse and flying over specially constructed metal ramps.

This event is open to the public. Tickets can purchased onsite at Caesars Palace or in advance at http://www.stadiumsupertrucks.com.

An event at Caesars has long been a vision of series President, Robby Gordon. The unique form of racing that SST offers was immensely popular more than 20 years ago – known then as the Mickey Thompson Off-Road Championship – and fittingly Gordon, one of the world’s greatest off-road racers, has brought it back to life.

“Bringing SST to Caesars during SEMA Show week, the world’s most premier automotive specialty products trade event,is something unheard of,” said Gordon. “We would like to thank everyone at Caesars Palace and The Forum Shops at Caesars for giving us the opportunity to present a race like this. Getting to race SST trucks on this property is something phenomenal.”

“Through the years Caesars Palace has always set the standard and continually raised the bar on the Las Vegas Strip,” said Caesars Palace Regional President Gary Selesner. “An event like this is special because it pays homage to the historical attention-grabbing events that Caesars Palace is known for – like Evel Knievel and the Formula One races, yet also brings forth a new element of exciting entertainment for our guests. We are thrilled to welcome SST with this monumental event and encourage locals and race fans alike to join in on the action.”

In addition to the SST lineup, USA Pro SuperMoto and Modified Trophy Karts will be competing with a full program of qualifying and main events.

On the day of the event, access to the valet at The Forum Shops will be limited.

@MJ, it's fair to say there are folks that would complain if they where spoon feed with a silver spoon. The price of a ticket is the least of the expenses to go.
BTW, I won't be making the trip. The money I set aside will now be spent on a crown for the tooth that broke last week. And the first app. on a Saturday is the 9th.

Would like to see this, SST in my favorite place! BUT goin real dirt racing in Baja and at the end of the month a 250 mile off road bike run to Vegas.....Have fun all

I think the tickets are a little high priced. But, depending on how many trucks are racing AND who is behind the wheel of them it might be OK. Has an entry list been posted yet?

Global Rallycross is only $35 for 2 days of racing.

With only 2500 to 4000 tickets being sold I'm sure it'll sell out and I'm guessing this is more of an event to show off to potential sponsors that have been at SEMA which is a great idea to help build for a bigger and better 2014 SST season.

I agree as this is a total sponsor showcase. Sponsors will buy up many of those tickets.

MK 1 word OUCH !!! Hope your back smiling soon . I do gotta agree a little bit about it being all pavement . Would be good to see a cple dirt sections thrown in maybe from grandstand 7 over to 3 . I know that costs $ but this is supposed to be offroad . Yes the Long Beach and Toronto events were cool but our core races should be on dirt . As for the prices I don't think that price is bad at all . Especially being in Vegas where that much money can be spent on 1 hand of Blackjack lol .

Last night they televised a Rally Cross race on the course that the SST's are running tonight. The racing was much better then NASCAR. There are some real hard turns where the trucks will need to drift and they are asphalt. So whoever goes may see, some of the SST rolling. I hope NBC decides to televise this race.

That wasn't the same course, different location.

What an insult Channel 8 news in Vegas does a story on SST at Ceasars and calls the drivers NASCAR drivers . Just shaking my head in disbelief . When are the tv reporters gonna realize there's more to racing than NASCRAP .
Talent for tonight's event

Still no BJ huh ? Damn would be cool to see him tear it up . Would've also liked to see Twitch . Gonna be interesting to see Kyle LeDuc , should be good . He has tons of short course experience . Can't wait to see pics and hope it gets aired on NBCSN .
it's TBA on the airing, per twitter
