#78 Furniture Row team might have to wait on Kurt Busch...Robby available?

If NASCAR suspends Kurt Busch for this weekend's race at Charlotte, the Furniture Row team will need to scramble for a driver. Seems like the talent pool would be very slim... AJ Allmandinger could be a possibility... But teams aren't lining up to put him behind the wheel yet. Could be a great for Robby to slap some SPEED Energy stickers on that black car and gets some great PR about SPEED and his new stadium racing series !

Kurt will be the talk of the pre-race show if he's suspended by NASCAR. The driver who fills in will get lots of publicity. Look how much Hornish has banked off of AJ's mistake

Of course if it paid more than Blue Water...

Exactly! I don't care if Robby is racing slot cars. Put it on TV and I am there! Just because dirt racing is the best format to watch Robby doesn't make all other formats a waste of time. I would love to see Robby race ALMS, Gymkhana, Drift and holy crap would it be badass to see him race Lemons!

Race every desert or SST race you can? Absolutely! Race other stuf on the off weekends? Pretty please.

I'll make it a + dozen. All I have is that never give up glimmer of hope. Sure dirt and desert races are good just like any form of racing. What channel is it on again?

I understand the love for the dirt racing...but if RG was asked to drive a race for RCR or another team with great equipment we would all be cheering...because were fans of Robby Gordon. I have to say NASCAR ruined racing with COT and protecting it's stars and sponsors...but NASCAR if finally making changes that would actually help teams like RGM... No more Top 35 rule...testing opening up again at tracks...and new car design looks great. Plus they will be relaxing some of the rules to allow teams more creativety. Throwing out the Top 35 rule is huge step in the right direction. Should have been done 2-3 years ago. Sponsors are slowly getting back into the sport too like Peak Antifreeze.

As fans of Robby's,come join us for the BlueWater Desert Challenge.Thursday afternoon is Q for starting positions.Saturday and Sunday is race days.Chat , tracking ,maybe even live streaming.
Driving the 78 is someones dream, driving the 1537 is a plan.;-)

When and if NASCAR ever decides to go back to the " good old days " ( ill say back to the pre chase days ) . Then and only then will I give NASCAR respect as a form of racing . Yes I do watch the races now and will continue to do so . But I personally would actually enjoy it more if they made those changes . Yes I would also enjoy it if Robby were in a top 20 car but not cause of NASCAR but cause I'm a Robby fan .

for the love of..........nobody wants to point out Tony did to MW and Mears exactly what he did to Rob that one time??? remember? Dirt.... big tires..... and lolly pops (that should keep the critics at bay )

MM, sorry I'm totally ignorant on this one?? as for NASCAR IMO I really don't think RG is going back I agree with mj and alot of you I'm sure, I'd love to see RG back in a top ride just to show the naysayers he's better than they think but I believe he is moving on to bigger and better things. I'm gonna miss it but I honestly believe this chapter is closed.

I noticed the same thing. Tony didn't want to get hung out to dry so he stacked them up trying to save his spot. At least he owned it this time though.

yeah his penalty in the race was enough

I see that. Just threw it out for conversation and hope of Robby being back behind the wheel. I think what saved Kurt was Junior giving Jimmie a ride on his door back to the garage after the wreck. Be hard to sit Kurt for disobeying Nascar if he couldn't hear them since the radio was on the roof and eventually fell off. But I'm sure the Johnson ride on Junior's door will be addressed as unsafe.

Saw severaal articles about how what Junior & Jimmie did probably kept Kurt from getting any additional penalties.
