Gordon Makes A BIG Move

March 15, 2012 (Charlotte, NC) – What is another form of racing that Robby Gordon can mark off his impressive list of racing series? If you guessed monster trucks, you guessed correctly. Robby Gordon Motorsports and SPEED Energy have formed a partnership with BIGFOOT 4x4, Inc., owner of the most well –known monster truck in the United States.


NASCAR and Off-Road racer, Robby Gordon, and BIGFOOT 4x4, Inc. have entered into a multi-year agreement beginning with the 2012 season. The addition of the monster truck, built at Gordon’s race shop in Charlotte, NC, will be the nineteenth chassis in the line-up of BIGFOOT trucks.


Gordon’s energy drink company, SPEED Energy, will be the co-primary sponsor of the monster truck. “This partnership with BIGFOOT 4x4, Inc. is a big step for our company. It opens the door to market SPEED Energy to a new demographic. Being featured as a sponsor on the truck is just one element to the relationship, we will also be selling SPEED Energy/BIGFOOT #19 diecasts, t-shirts, hats and other merchandise,” says Gordon. During the first year of the agreement the monster truck will be used primarily for display purposes. From there the truck will participate in events, with the possibility of Gordon being behind the wheel. “I’m excited about the opportunity to drive the SPEED Energy/BIGFOOT #19 monster truck. We built the truck a few years ago and we’ve played around with it, but actually competing in events would be a lot of fun,” Gordon remarks.

Now that you pointed it out I see the drop on the window door too . Like on my RC you can see it . The body on my RC is a Ford Raptor . I wonder why they did the body like that . Maybe just piecing it together ? Who know STILL LOOKS AWESOME !!!!

I know they are a different company, but seeing that Speed Energy Big Foot, it has Lucas Oil, Firestone and many other companies that would be benificial to SST's. It would be great if Robby can bring all them together under one short course off road racing series next year.

Curious how much of the RGM chassie remains we all know RGM builds quality stuff but the BigFoot guys know Monster trucks. if you compare the first pics of SpeedFoot with current you can find quite a few changes. Not being critical just curious as I said.

I think the original chassis was sold to Brian Deegan and its now the Metal Mulisha monster truck . Think this chassis is all Bigfoot . Here's the Mulisha truck

I thought the BigFoot crew took in the truck RGM built but after comparing pics of the 2010 test and Deegans truck there are alot of things alike. I think you nailed it. Thanks mj.

The chassis is a CRD that was purchased by RGM. I think the Metal Mulisha deal wa just a rumor because both are CRD chassis as most of the MJ "factory" trucks are. Either way, the truck looks great and I can't wait for SPEEDfoot to run.

Deegan never owned his truck. Most in Monster Jam are owned by Feld with corporate drivers, MM truck included. Deegan only drve the truck 3 or 4 times if I remember correctly.

Wow, Robby finally comes out with his 2013 dakar challeger. This truck is going to truly CRUSH those minis. There must be mean old gas tank on that baby to run a 600 mile stage.

Just saw the SPEED ENERGY BIGFOOT T-shirt. Looks great. May have to add that to my collection. Now just waiting for SST WEAR!!
