Robby Gordon was on Claire B Lang's show on XM Radio tonight ( 8-29-12 ) and he is not too happy about getting fined 25k for the helmet toss ( No fine for Tony Stewart for his throw ) .

Recap -In 2005, Robby Gordon got fined 25k from nascar for the helemt toss on Mike Waltrip, plus a 10k fine for his TV interview ( dropping the SHIT bomb ) . Tony Stewart throws his helmet at Matt Kenseth, receives no fine.

Kyle Busch was fined & suspended for wrecking Ron Hornaday under caution in CWTS under the "Boys have at it" era right?

Goodness gracious... haha ai yai yai!!!!

Vlad, excuse me that I find it personally amusing a guy named Vlad is always playing devil's advocate. I guess you choose to forget the "consistancy" in fines & penalties nascar & the media is always yammering about. In case you didn't notice, the boys were "having at it" right along. That lil quote from Pemberton might as well have been "Fine, we'll let the good ol boys be good ol boys, just don't change the channel". Now, just like then, they won't admit when they screw up...pride is more important than product, sad

its is way iam staring to hate nascar GO IRL

What is the IRL? Oh yeah, they aren't around anymore. It's INDYCAR ... So on topic of RG, I have been furious about this since the night Stewart threw the helmet. I knew he wouldn't get fined for the throw and I immediately thought of RG in '05. I don't know how important the $35,000 is to Robby, but what about the 50 points he lost? How did that affect his race team then and in the future? I'm not positive on that scenario, but we all know how important owner points and the top-35 was back in '05.

If I'm correct he lost Fruit of the Loom over the comments about POS!!!

Yes it is a different era now, its a damn mess. Brian France is the one that should be drug tested.

The media is acting like Tony is a hero ,rating the throw all that, when RG did it they acted like he was just an A hole , Robby should be pissed ,in general NASCAR treated Robby like crap

+1

Great interview. He called in out of the blue.
didn't have much nice things to say about NASCRAP Was great honest robby.

I totally understand his frustration.

It's like a guy gets a speeding ticket for going 65 on a section of highway that's posted 55 and cops set up a speed trap behind a dead bush and bust a few people.

Then lots of people bitch...... and they raise the speed limit to 75 because people weren't driving on that highway anymore and people drive 80 all day long and officials only giving speeeing tickets now to the guys in he nice car who will pay the fines.

wow. Yeah I can see how Robby would be pissed that he gets fined & tony doesn't. Did the guy in the NW race many years ago get fined? I think it was either Kevin LePage or Tony Raines that threw a helmet at Robby when he drove the #27 ???

Good call!!!!

I remember that race. It was 2007. I was in the stands and that happened right in front of my section.

RG was driving the #27 Kleenex NW car, Tony Raines threw his helmet at RG & a few days later Tony Raines was fined $15k by nascar.
