I was reluctant to believe poppy seed story. Looked it up @ snopes.com and it says it true.

The poppy seeds and med's that I was taking at the time, which were listed on paperwork that is suposed to travel with sample, but who knows?

AJ Allmendinger has been suspended indefinitely after a second sample from a drug test collected earlier this month violated the league's substance abuse policy, according to NASCAR.

The driver of the No. 22 car at Penske Racing will next receive a letter from NASCAR outlining the terms and conditions of potential reinstatement. If Allmendinger chooses to participate, the following step would be further medical examination or treatment, according to NASCAR's Road to Recovery program.

Not a surprise , since the A & B samples are the same. Doesn't matter if it was 'nanograms', over the limit is over the limit. That reminds me. I saw a showcase overbid by $1 on the price is right & the girl got nothing.

Yup TOG no surprise here. If the second test had been different than the first NASCAR would have looked really bad and that can't happen. But, there was little chance of that as the A and the B samples came from the same batch of wizz like you said.

He can go back to racing Indy cars if he can find a ride.

"For purposes of this Policy, the phrase "non-medical use" shall mean use of a drug by a WWE Talent for other than a legitimate medical purpose given pursuant to a valid prescription from a licensed and treating physician.

The administration of this Policy is directed by the program administrator for the WWE ("PA"). The PA shall be David L. Black, Ph.D., D-ABFT, FAIC of Aegis Sciences Corporation ("Aegis"), Nashville, Tennessee."

I'm sure we would be appalled if any WWE Talent were to test positive for banned stimulants or performance enhancing drugs like Anabolic and Androgenic Steroids. And certainly not a peptide hormone or analogue such as Human Growth Hormone (hGH), Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG), Luetenizing Hormone (LH) and Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF-1). Those extreme muscular builds of the WWE Talent are as natural as Twinkies, right?

Oh, did I mention that Aegis also provides drug testing for NASCAR and David L. Black serves as NASCAR's medical review officer ("MRO") too? As race fans, we're fortunate that NASCAR has paralleled itself with a entertainment business that stages events with predetermined outcomes and one that depends heavily on its star performers continued success to put butts in the seats and bring in pay-per-view customers. In that respect, Aegis and Dr. Black (Ph.D.), are the perfect partners to administer NASCAR's Drug Testing Policy.

And like the WWE, every now and then there has to be a random credibility check in the form of a non-factor or nonconforming member of the talent pool being pulled from the positive hat to reassure the community that the Policy is working.
