I have this truck and love it. However I am looking for a second Speed energy body. Anyone know where I can get it? Traxxas does not carry them
You won't be able to get the body separately . Next best thing is doing the body like my truck , painting the color and logos on . That's why I told everyone who got one to buy a shit prepainted body to use to run it with and save the SPEED body for show . Another thing you can do is go to a vinyl sign shop and have decals made them just paint up any body the orange and black .
thanks mj I am new to RC and still learning. Trying to figure out getting it faster and jumping with out flipping

No prob bud . Heres a lil something you might like its the PROLINE MILITIA BODY . Its based on a hummer but not quite the same as Robby's but its close . Product ID : 3341-00

I think it might look cool with the SPEED paint scheme

Idk guys and girls hope bout a NEW Robby RC project its and Axial Wraith and would make the perfect KOH replica

I received my Robby Gordon Speed Energy Slash! It looks awesome! Me, like others, wish I could buy a spare body and keep one nice for show!

Orange anodized hop up parts would be cool too!

Nothing in orange but there are silver red blue and gunmetal . Just a suggestion though instead of buying every aftermarket part under the sun all at once , go slow and replace parts little by little as they wear out

i stand corrected after doing some digging at work online i found Team Integy does indeed make orange annoed parts for the Slash http://www.integy.com/st_prod.html?p_prodid=9983&p_catid=260
Hope this helps

Thanks for the heads up! I will have to check that out.

No prob

Ok, Im hooked on this, now I have to upgrade ! please explain to me the advantage of the annoed parts other than it will cost more when i do break something.
I real happy with the performance right out of the box. but I am a newbee.
These trucks fly, jump, and perform just like the real thing! I love the way it lays over in the corners.
what can I expect by upgrading with this kit?
.

As a beginner you won't really notice any performance difference other than looks . With the stock plastic parts there is usually a give and/or play in the part in the form of flex . The annoed parts help reduce that . But honestly I've always felt it better to have that flex cause usually what happens is the annoed part wont break but the damage is transferred to what ever they are attached to ( for example the a-arm wont break but the shock of an impact will be transferred to say the bulkhead , hub carriers or steering blocks . Another thing is they are also heavier than the stock parts . That too is a double edged sword a heavier truck will stay planted better but at the same time it takes more power to move a heavier truck . Basically there IS NO magical set-up its more trial and error to see what works best for you . I personally have never seen any BIG advantage in stock plastic parts or aftermarket annoed parts . Plus driving style and ability have alot to do with it too . I mean lets say me and Tooltime are racing and he runs 1/2 a sec faster than me with his truck then we switch and all of a sudden I'm 1/2 a sec faster is it the truck , the driver , combination of both ? That my friend is why it's called racing . One thing I do suggest is to keep notes of whatever changes you make that way you'll always have a reference as to how the changes affect you and your driving style when racing . If your planning on just running your truck around the park or something like that GO NUTS !!!! with the changes it won't really matter .
