As soon as we crossed the first dunes, we went over a crest and behind it was a sink hole, immediately penalising us as we got stuck. Time passed and the minutes seemed long. We lost at least 20 minutes, which meant that we would also lose the lead in the general standings. We cleared some sand and moved the car forward centimetre by centimetre to get out of there. Afterwards, I have to admit I took risks to claw the time back. That was the 50 km where I've attacked the most during the whole rally. In the end we caught up with Nani several kilometres from the finish, so he must have had problems too. I've been saying for a while that by getting stuck in the dunes it's possible to lose half an hour. Today we came close to a real setback.

I would imagine the ruling to give him his time back a'la Despres is not too far off. To think he got stuck in the Dakar rally, it happens get over it.

This just in: Seal team 7 dug that sink hole and covered it with tumble weeds, Just to see if they could catch a dumb frenchman. Looks like it worked!! Now they have to dig one deep enough to catch his ego! Hope you don't have any final stage mishaps you french asshole!!

What is getting me PO is that Peterhansel & Roma both have told media that Robby is a cheater, I want to know why their American company sponsor "Monster" & their sponsor PR and a Planet Robby member Joe Parsons haven't told Roma & Peterhansel to stifle it and apologize!
These two Monster mini drivers disgust me with their words and actions.
We might not have a voice with ASO, Peterhansel & Roma, but we as consumers have a voice with a American (Corona Calif.) based company.
Let your voices be heard and contact Monster that you will refuse to buy anymore Java Monster, you will remove any monster decals off of your vehicles, you will no longer use your monster t-shirts to dry your cars and you want Monster to offer a public letter of apologize to Robby Gordon and his crew for any damage that their drivers Peterhansel and Roma have done to damage Robby Gordon's worldwide reputation! Monster should include in this apology that while they sponsored Robby Gordon he had a tremendous impact on their product and that if it weren't for Robby Gordon they would never have gotten involved with Dakar. They should also let Dakar know that even though they don't sponsor Robby that they know him to be a man of character and not a cheater!
