STAGE 2 TRACKING

STAGE 2: De La Pampa > San Rafael

Connection 487km | Special Stage 290km | Total 777km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The competitors will have an early start and a long way to go to join the start of the special stage. But the pace that the drivers will have to keep up on the first very fast part of the route will immediately ensure that they remain extremely focused. After the big, fast bends negotiated on firm ground, the entrance in a backdrop of dunes will significantly slow down their progress. In Nihuil, the grey-coloured sand bears witness to the intense volcanic activity which occurred in the region several thousand years ago.

Game on baby. Take no prisoners. Anyone in mood for MINI waffles this morning. BTW, if anyone wants to know TOG is STIG twin brother and it is once said that they had spark plugs for Pacifiers. Dude, did you get any sleep last night.

11:42 : Nasser Al Attiyah: “Not very confident any more”
After a difficult first day, the title holder arrived at the bivouac in Santa Rosa at 11 PM, at the wheel of a Hummer which was probably going do need a good night’s work to be able to take starter’s orders for the 2nd stage in suitable conditions: “2 km from the finishing line on the special stage, we could smell something burning, because the fuel pump flexible had melted. Robby towed us to the finishing line and on the link stage we stopped with Lucas to repair it. We both spent two hours at work, because our assistance truck did not turn up. Afterwards, we had to stop every 100 km to put some more oil in. Now I’m hoping that the mechanics will work well to solve this problem and especially to make sure there aren’t any more mishaps. As for victory, I’m not very confident any more, but I’ll have to keep on believing in my chances. Sometimes, that’s just what rally-raid driving is like

All we can pray for is that he did not damage internal parts.

Quick Question.

On the live tracker the start times say 5:00 for Bikes and with a 5 hour differance from there to PST that tells me they should have started at midnight here.
But they pretty much kicked off at 6:00 PST

What am I missing?

Last Comment time was 15:09 but I got it at roughly 6:09. So I am pretty confused.

thats the start time of the liason to the start of the timing 'special section'

Bikes were off at 8:30am/et ( 10:30am local ) & Cars start at 10:30am/et ( 12:30pm local )

Main page here at site, top lefthand side under scoring pylon will give you the day to day Team SPEED stage start times for the "special" sections of each stage.

Thanks again TOG.
Yes I see the start times on the top of the page but The confusing part to me is the different times for the start times and correlation to the comments section.

Also you reference 8:30am ET to 10:30 Local.
Are you not PST which would be 11:30 local?

is this stage favorable to the HUMMERS

Where is Cody.

OK Now I see him.
