Robby Gordon & Nasser Al Attiyah Dakar Stage 1 Quotes

ROBBY GORDON - " We were setting a fast pace until we saw Nasser stopped at the side of the special's course, less than 2 km from here, and I stopped to tow him. This has cost us some time, but I am especially concerned about him. We will make the exact diagnosis at the bivouac, but his car simply refuses to start. Perhaps there is a problem with the oil pressure, the petrol... I do not know."

NASSER AL ATTIYAH - " We had an engine oil pressure loss and preferred to wait for Robby to tow us to the finish, since we did not want to damage the engine... We will see, but this does not look good... And, whatever happens, this is not a good way to start the Dakar! "

additional quotes will be added here.

Menudo happens. That's racing.

No worries Gerardo. These are very fast and well-prepared rockets. Please stay tuned....Dakar can't be won in the 1st stage.

would of been a 1 2 finish if not for the problem

It's gonna be like me after a plate full of beans, "BAD GAS"

Just read the Toyo Blog. Really puts into prospective on how quick the hummers were.

Great feed.
Thanks for the link.

Poor Alfie Cox. He is a good man,

Breaks on the 1st day, yeah that is racing........

it could be something as simple as the wiring to say the low oil pressure safety switch is bad. James will figure it out.

Shame for Nasser to lose 9 minutes on the opening stage. Lets hope its fixable.

R.I.P Jorge Boero

I'm looking for a quick fix and solid performance over the next few stages to put the other teams on notice. Robby and Nasser are both awesome and the Hummer is a BEAST.
