Now that Robby has decided to own his own team and not sell out to another team, what are the chances he brings on a partner? To me, this is the only alternative that will allow Robby to build on what he has and be competitive week in and week out. What does everyone think?

There in nothing to invest in
What about another top 10 instead?
You could consider Uncle John an investor, right?....he certainly helps alot with sponsorship when needed!
Menards is not on the stock exchange, The Menards Family owns 100% of their stock and sales are up. If you are going to make comments like that do your research before you sound stupid.
I think he ment RG's "stock" figuratively speaking
but he is investing his money into RGM by way of sponsorship......that is correct and that makes him an investor.....soooooooo.....i dont sound stupid now, right? and you dont have to be on the stock exchange to be an investor or have people invest in your cause. All you need to do is have money or other resources and give them to someone else or to their cause (racing team), that is all it takes.
Be careful what you ask for.
Ok so maybe inestor is the wrong word. How about a partner?
It would have to be a silent partner as in deaf, dumb, blind and lives on Tristan da Cunha; a remote island in the south Atlantic about 1,600 miles from the nearest major landmass.
Ha, ha! Good Stuff!

Can't help but think about some of the loyal Petty Enterprises fans. I made the same comment to them....be careful what you ask for when they started to howl for an "investor" last year. The sell out to Boston Ventures has really brought a lot of hurt to those poor folks.
I think all this partner/investor/merger stuff is going to slow down, especially given the current economic situation, and rightly so. Some of these deals may turn out not to have been such a good idea after all. I also think these deals are another end-run around the four-team cap led by Jack Rousch (as usual) and NASCAR has (also as usual) let it get way out of hand.
Ms. Gibby as usual, you nailed it!
