something broke on the car i believe
Black flagged & NASCAR was 1 lap away from pulling his scoring card for leaking fluid on track.
Wow, I missed what happened. Don't know it was bad. I saw he missed the 47/22 wreck and was pumped he had a chance to get back with someone. Oh well, on to PIR.
Have a good week
Bummer! Thanks for the update.
Massive amount of air time for the 7.
This was the first nascar race i've watched to conclusion in a long time.
No matter what the result STILL A GREAT DAY Robby is now in top 35 in points
Well, RGM is within 100 points of the top 35 anyway...
TOG - Was RGM running lightweight hub/gear oils to ensure a little extra speed for qualifying? That could ultimately cause a failure that otherwise wouldn't happen. Worth it though if it gave them that extra 0.011 in qualifying speed...
ROBBY GORDON (No. 7 SPEED Energy Dodge Charger R/T) Finished 37th “What a bummer. I thought this might be the day that we get this SPEED Energy Dodge in victory lane. We had a great car. We ended up having a problem with the rear gear, started to leak some oil on the track and NASCAR made us park the car. It’s a bummer. It may have happened when we lost the rear bumper cover and that could have caused a weird vacuum under the car. We’re really not sure. Our car was fast. We led laps. We ran great with Trevor (Bayne) all day. It just wasn’t meant to be.”
Robby has been in the top 35 in points... Not even close in owner's points.
#71 falls out of top 35
I must admit this was one of the most excited I've been watching a race in a long time. Maybe some details need to be addressed , but all in all a great race for Rob and SPEED ENERGY. LOTS OF AIR TIME , GOOD AIR TIME!
