I'm sure there will be a few who will look only at the final results and bash RGM, but not since Daytona has RG had a car capable of winning a Cup race. The two car tandem of Robby Gordon & Trevor Bayne was one of the fastest of the day. It was such a great feeling to see Robby put that "Panther Pink" SPEED ENERGY Dodge up front. Robby looked like his old self at the start of the race, charging thru the field desparate to hook up with Bayne and establish themselves as a real threat. I watched on TV, listened to the scanner and listened to MRN Radio. Over and over you heard the words, "Robby Gordon in his SPEED ENERGY Dodge" and many times you saw Robby's Pather Pink Dodge glowing across the screen. Just like Daytona, Robby got a ton of exposure 9/10ths of the race...just didn't have the finish. Also goes to show those who always think it's a conspiracy, if you run up front, you get on TV, get talked about and get the exposure.

It was great to see RGM qualify for the race on speed, huge kudos. This should help the team get a great baseline for Daytona. You can tell RGM gave it a great effort. I heard a mature Miles, more confident and experienced. It was great to hear Patrick spotting again. Just shows what this team is capable of doing (even with a small team). Hopefully additional funding can be found, can only imagine what RGM could do now with some additional funds.

I'm sure this gave Robby a much needed momentum with his Cup program. After the Daytona race in July & Watkins Glen, it seemed the team was very down. This should light the fire back again.

GREAT JOB RGM!!!! Fans, buy SPEED, promote SPEED and help this team get funded. Looking forward to Phoenix, but can't wait til DAYTONA!!!

(PS- Penske motor was awesome sunday.)

I couldn't agree more , ZOOM. I kept thinking of that song by Chuck Berry, " movin' thru the traffic like a mounted calvileer " GO, GO, Robby, go By the way the song was" Nadine" Rob should name that pink car "Nadine" I've been looking for somewhere that posts fastest speed of the race.
I thought it was a fine shwoing by RGM, all the way up until the bumper came off. Thought we still had a shot after that, but we parked shortly thereafter. What happened? Good to get a lot of on camera nods as well. Lots of exposure yesterday.
Needed more rivets in rear bumper.
ROBBY GORDON (No. 7 SPEED Energy Dodge Charger R/T) Finished 37th “What a bummer. I thought this might be the day that we get this SPEED Energy Dodge in victory lane. We had a great car. We ended up having a problem with the rear gear, started to leak some oil on the track and NASCAR made us park the car. It’s a bummer. It may have happened when we lost the rear bumper cover and that could have caused a weird vacuum under the car. We’re really not sure. Our car was fast. We led laps. We ran great with Trevor (Bayne) all day. It just wasn’t meant to be.”
Thanks.....was curious why we pulled 'er in.
I totally agree!! Robby and the SPEED Energy team looked great on sunday. Keep up the good fight RGM.
It's SOOOOO great to see positive remarks on here instead of all the negative nellies funny how they don't seem to say anything if they can't crap all over Robby
If I had my preference I would rather see the big pack 43 cars side by side 3 and 4 wide racing...but I enjoyed the 2-car tandem this weekend (Liked it at Daytona, but wasn't a fan of the spring Dega and July Daytona race), however this race had alot more action and excitement (Could be also that Robby ran well at Daytona and this past weekend).

Daytona & Dega pull the higher TV ratings which makes me wonder why NASCAR doesn't work to get a plate track out West. IMO, Fontana or Texas would be perfect to add high banking to the existing tracks and make one of them a plate style race. I would think Fontana would love this style of racing out West. Fontana is boring, one of the worst cookie cutter style tracks out there. Be awsome if their tore down the turns and banked them high and add the plates.
I don't think they'll add another plate track until they figure out how to get the big packs back. 2 car tandems pretty much = worst racing in all of motorsports.
I was sooo happy for RGM!! I was on my feet in my living room screaming!!! Robbie put on a great show! That was just AMAZING !!
Who's Robbie? (Did you mean R-O-B-B-Y Gordon?)
Thanks ...
