TORC series racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway Dirt Track this off weekend. Will the Speed Energy Pro 2 be there?

So this weekend is the first ever short course off road race at Charlotte Motor Speedways dirt track. Many of the big names form the Lucus Oil Off Road Series on the West coast are coming out to race with TORC as this race will be huge.

I have heard nothing regarding Robby racing his Pro 2, but being that this is a off weekend for NASCAR will Robby be there? Why would he not be? Why have we not heard a PR if Robby will be there? The track is 20 min for RGM, RG needs to race this race this weekend!

I still take it as a snub to east coast fans.No matter how or what reason this was an opportunity for east coast fans to see RG run in the dirt.We may not get the chance ever to see RG run in the dirt.I will still be a RG fan but Id be lying if said I wasnt a little peeved at the fact that I purchased tickets in advance for 2 races this year (All Star Race and the TORC race),and our boy is a no show at either one.So you cant promote like you want to ,well promote like everyone else.RG not running the race this weekend is a slap in the face to any RG east coast fan.
How is it a slap when he funds the deal out of pocket ? Thats being a bit selfish.
Just the way I feel and I dont think it at all selfish. Its an opportunity missed for us fans who would love to see RG race in the dirt.
Nitro, Yes it is a bummer RG will not be there. But trust me on this, RG is not the show and I dont mean this in a bad way. RG is fun to watch, but the regulars in the TORC and LOORS short course series are awesome. They will bring a great show to NC. If RG was racing it would be tough for him to beat Rob Mac and guys like Marty Hart who just moved to the Pro 2 class.

No RG will not be racing, but the show is still going to be AWESOME so dont change your plans and not go! On the West coast Rob Mac's Rockstar Pro 2 is dominating and on the East coast TORC series he is running the Flagship for Dodge. He has won the first two rounds this year. Marty is Johnny Greeve's teammate this year running a Pro 2. Marty has won 2 ProLite Championships and he will be a force in Pro 2. Then you have guys like Robbie Pierce coming out from the West coast just for this one race. Johnny Kaiser who runs the shop at RGM and built RG's Pro 2 also built Pierce's Pro 2.

And when walking around the pit area (It is open to the public) keep your eyes open for a SPEED Energy shirt as I am pretty sure RG will not be able to stay away. If he is in town I'm sure he will be walking around and talking to all the guys he knows. It would not surprise me if he did not drive one of the Hummers to the races to just get people like you's attention. Heck he could drive one of the big 6x6 trucks? That would be a sight to see pull up in the parking lot!

So bring your camera as you never know you might still get that picture with RG if you run into him!
Yeah I am still going I have to(I had already told my 9 year old son). Its all good I guess just disappointed.I guess if he would have said 2 weeks ago that he wasn't going it would be different. But couple days before is the stinger.Sometimes the audible goes your way sometimes it doesn't.
I cant think of a better way to spend the day with your son. He is going to go crazy!
@Nitro I ve gone to Indy the last 2 yrs SPECIFICLY because RG was supposed to run. You'll be happy to know I managed to have a blast anyway. RG's busy pimpin SPEED so he can run more of any/everything. Thats the priority right now, build the house...then you can play in the yard.
The next month RGM will have big money races, Brickyard 400 ($150k for 36th in 2010) and road races at the Glen (est $125k for a top ten finish) Nationwide in Canada (est $20k for top 10 finish)

Targets for the next month:
Brickyard 400, enter both the 7 and the 77, get the 77 (Jacques Villeneuve or Sam Hornish?) in the show. Last place in 2010 paid - $134k.
Pocono, enter the 7, should still be top 35 with Wimmer driving. PJ finished 35th in 2010 for $78k
Watkins Glen, enter both cars, top 10 for the 7 (2010 motor issue 36th and $75k) and last place (S&P for the 77) paid $72k in 2010, Top 5 for the Nationwide race (est $25k)
Michigan, enter the 7, should still be top 35 with Wimmer driving. 2010 PJ finished 37 for $84k.
Montreal, entry for RG driving car #?, Saturday race with the cup cars at Michigan. Sell SPEED north of the border.

Keep dollars coming in equals lights stay on at RGM :) , Gas On!
Been hot as hell in Indy and is supposed to continue well into next week.........The track is going to suck and be one hard muther to figure out this year..........
Sounds like Indy will pay for Montreal.
Got to thinking about this are we sure its Bruton that wont let Robby promote like he wants ? I remember a few years back when the whole TORC / LOORRS series split happened , TORC wouldnt let any of the Team Associated sponsored trucks run because they didnt want to upset Traxxas who was the title sponsor for the series .
If you have a party and a bunch of folks pay you fees and such to do there marketing and product awareness then comes along a guy who wants spill his wine as free flowing as he can and wants to then other kids start crying why did they have to pay to play and jonny did not? Brutis runs his ship as a pay to play, Robby runs his as it's fun to play.
You don't have to read my dribble if you don'y want, but as i see it racing has a bit of an unwritten thing that is being rewritten by some in contrast to antitrust laws, which we all know are just dust in the wind in todays world.
