A few major things stick out to me about this race. I'll be captain obvious for a moment

1st, he did better than last time he was here
2nd, the car isn't wadded up
3rd, this was the first time cup had been to Vegas with the wing and new nose.
If you all noticed, only the multi car teams were up front. Besides ambrose, but he deserves a good run.
4th, from a.spectator looking in this race was 90% RGM funded, at least he didn't start and park
Ambrose was basically in the 6th Rousch car (Dinger was in the 5th)...The Fords OWNED this track and setup all weekend in quals and practice
A. We Tried really, really hard.

B. And we're all still good Friends, LOL
HAHA Movie quotes all through this thread love it!
My impressions after being there....

Robby actually looked off his game while signing autographs this morning. I bought a new hat today, and had him sign it, and I mentioned to my wife that he seemed distracted, and not as focused as other times that i had seen him.... In the opening laps everyone else was content to single-file follow in line, but NOT Robby!!! To his credit, he went out there and PUSHED his car!!! In the end, not a great day, but not a totally bad day...

I stayed for the Legend race after the Cup race, rather than just sit in traffic.... A bunch of cars went out in a heat race, so we all threw $5 in a pot and bet on who would win. Of course, I bet on the #7! He blew his engine on the second warm-up lap..... At one point about 2 hours after the Cup race ended, I looked over, and Robby's hauler was the only one left at the garage. And they had the hood up on the hauler... It was that kind of day.........
Geez!! there's more bitching and drama on here after one race than a whole season of all the Real Housewives of (insert city here) I'm on here because I'm a fan of Robby's good or bad if you can't take the bad then jump on the Jimmy band wagon and every day will be rainbows, glitter and unicorns!!.........GAS ON ROBBY!!!!!!!!!
AMEN to that!!
I know we are not going to run the full season, and some may say we did crumby today, but just to throw a little perspective on things...

We're ahead of Burton, Biffle, Joey, and McMurray in the points.

It's only 3 races in I know, but none the less : Imagine how their guys must be feel to find themselves behind us ?
From Buffalo N.Y. it looks like we are this close to being alright, sometimes it's just a matter of timing...well this might give you an idea of how imperfect the world as a whole can be. You bought your ticket sit back and enjoy the ride...................http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGJfNaM0804&feature=related
I think it's about setting proper expectations for yourself......please don't take this as a knock on anybody......

The thing that has me excited about Robby is the Speed Energy Drink venture....I think he needs that to work out well in order for RGM to take the next step in cup racing.....On the Cookie Cutter tracks Robby's "stuff" is somewhere between the 18-35 best car depending on track, weekend, ect....On occasion he does finish better than that, but for the last 5 years he is somewhere between 18-35....I certainly don't think it is a lack of effort and I would bet the guys in his shop work much harder than most other teams and it is certainly not the drivers ability.....He is going about as fast as he can with what he has to work with, and if Speed Energy does well....he will go faster as his program will have more funding to buy the necessary speed.....All of this has been written many times, I'm not coming up with anything new here.....

I guess my point is......try and set proper expectations, doing this for me allows me to take races like yesterday in stride...
I already posted this in the " Robby's biggest rival " disscussion but i feel it applies here as well ...............

Thats why Robby is my fav driver of all motorsports . No matter what he's driving he always goes balls to the wall .Yeah sometimes it bites him in the ass but i'd still rather see someone go all out for the win than to just piddle puddle around just to earn points . Hell i think thats part of the reason Robby doesnt do better in cup , cause thats basically the way its done there . Thats why i like the new points format in nascar it puts more emphasis on winning now than just cruising around gathering a few points here a few points there . I mean look at Jimmie Johnson 5xs now he's putted around most of the race season then goes for the wins in the last 10 chase races and yeah its worked , but how damn boring !!!!!!!!!!
Had no problem with the race in Vegas. If it wasn't for the bigone in PHX, he would be higher in points. But then again, there were alot of good cars that got taken out including the 7. Glad I'm a RGM fan..I have no second driver. Of course the second cup car at road-coarses....
The car was in one piece...didn't cut down a right front or didn't have flames shooting out the exhaust. Gas On Robby
