What if Robby won would you still say the same thing?
The race is over. The team gave it their best shot.

To continue to go on about what shoulda coulda woulda been is like buying hay for a dead horse.

On to Crandon and Atlanta...
I disagree I thought it was a kickass race. Sure there were wrecks at the begining there are 43 heavy stock cars on a tight road course its bound to happen. Once everyone got settled in they had a very nice 30 lap green flag run that included green flag stops which led to stratagy which made the race very interesting at the end which included lots of close racing and one of the best finishes I have seen. Sure Robby didnt win and I think we are all disapointed but in my mind it was a hell of a race.
I apologize if someone brought this up earlier in the thread but does anyone think that RG would consider putting JV in a second car for the Cup road course races? No offense to PJ but the two of them together could realistically put two cars in the top 10 at either Sonoma or WG which would pay better than one good finish and an s/p. And if someone else isn't going to snap JV up for a "ringer" role why not RG? Thoughts?
i say congrats to rgm for a great weekend. regardless of where we finally finished. he made a decent amount of money, but more importantly.... entertained everyone of his fans! thank you robby! would i have like the win??? of course, but...i was very impressed with the way the race was ran. if the race went the scheduled distance, its ours....cant ask for anything more. congrats to all of rgm and again, thanks. i wish the cup races were as exciting as this montreal track has been the past 3 years.... on to crandon!!!!!
Don't know where some of you have been, but Robby opened the door for Jacques two years ago and no sponsors would step up.
It's not rocket science, since Jacques fame came from open wheels (more F1 than Indy or CART) Every day Americans have no idea who he is,so why would corporate America base advertising around him,and what global or other than US company want to expand/be exposed to the US market currently. Honestly!
Be thankful ExtenZe/Kevin Conway where impressed enough to come to Robby Gordon Motorsports.
OOP there it is......
As opposed to Robby finishing in the top 10 every week? How many races isn't he lapped early? Give the kid a chance, and, yes, be thankful. He had a sponsor that agreed to come on board. RG wasn't planning to run every race this year, but now the #7 will be on the track with every green flag that drops. That's certainly something to be thankful for in my book.
I really enjoyed the race on Sunday. I thought they(RGM) made all the right calls beings there was no reason to go for a top 10 finish in a series were really only a win or bust will do. If it had been a Cup race, then come in and add fuel, but it wasn't Cup. I thought it was awesome that RG was in a position to win.

As for Nationwide races, maybe they should have a car that is obsolete after every race. There was a ton of bumping and banging, aggressive driving, and hungry drivers that could care less about anything except for winning. It was a refreshhing change from Cup for me.
sweet pic
Two questions about Montreal. Was it ok for Steve Wallass to pull his helmet while still on the track? I just thought it was funny the the incar went to him and wham! No helmet! it looked funny and out of place and cars were flying past him.

Was Robby OK getting out of the car during green flag racing and walking to the sidelines? Those were two things I thought were funny and I was not used to seeing those actions on the track.
