From Dustin Long: Track temperature is nearly 140 degrees as practice is about to start.

just a wild guess.. only 33 cars out in first 12 minutes of practice.. i'm willing to bet that robby is waiting for some rubber to get on the track before going out?

I don't look for much of anything from this session. And putting crazy miles on the power plant don't make much sense either. Look for happy hour to be the power hour. On top of that showers a possibility for the last practice. Great lookin car, i'm lookin forward to this race big time, but for now i'm waiting to see what happens tommorow more than anything.

dunno.......my guess is they are 99% focused on race trim....

Becuase tarck conditions right now are no where near what qualifying will be but very similar to what race will be......

EDit: Yeah..that was a qualifying run.....
