Just listened to the Sirius clip from this morning and Robby at the very end said Monster has decided to go a different direction with their Nascar sponsorship dollars. He also said Infinion was their (Monsters) last race with the #7. So is that is for the Monster on the #7? Is Monster still on the offroad side? I hope so because I just went and bought 2 cases of the Blue Monster at Costco to celebrate the 2nd place. It may be tough finishing it knowing they left. I have not had Red Bull since Robby changed. Does Menards make an energy drink? I guess I could start drinking Mapei grout! Man what a bummer week. I was on such a high on Sunday.

That's a real shame. I would have loved to have seen Monster on the 7 full time, with the black with green car as the primary and other colors and schemes (sort of like FedEx does on the 11) for the other flavors. Oh well.

Looking forward to seeing who has stepped up for Chicagoland and Daytona.
What happen to the Menards dollars? I thought he had some races with them.
Listen to the current interview on the main page , and you will clearly hear that RG says he has races with Menards & Mapei coming up.
I'm going to guess Menards/Mapei at Daytona again and JM at Indy, and probably Mapei again at chicagoland.
Jeff Valiant- I agree with you, totally. It makes perfect sense for next season, check it out: 2, 22, 7, 77. Who's already proved that they are a gruesome twosome or road courses? Kurt and Robby. Robby belongs with an elite team, who's more elite than THE only factory backed team of Penske? No one. There should be a way that Robby could work out a deal with Penske for ENGINES and TECHNOLOGY...still use his own chassis, and just do it on a "per season" deal so it doesn't turn out like the Evernham debacle. Robby's tech sharing with the road courses, and Penske's tech sharing with the ovals....I can see the 22 pushing the 7 through the draft and into Victory Lane at the Daytona 500 right now. Robby could be a great mentor to Hornish as well, having some of the same experiences. I miss seeing Robby on the Nationwide side, Penske could throw him into a few races....Robby IS due a victory at Montreal. And uh...Indy car? Just saying.
I sincerely hope it's not JM. Bad karma.
Yes it sucks, yes it's a sign of the times, but it is what it is. We all knew at the start of the year that this could/would happen. This shouldn't be a big shock to anyone. This is Robby Gordon we are talking about, the guy is going to keep on trucking and never give up. Yes we all want to see him in the car every week, and I'm sure he wants to be there as well, but as fans, we sometimes tend to not realize the full business aspect and the financial bottom line of a racing organization.
As much as Mikey likes cameras sell him part in on the speed factory and let him worry about the sponsors.....Just have to suck up on the pride alittle and maybe put a mwr somewhere on the car.........
Dont forget, alot of these topics , etc, dealing with day to day, sponsors, will be shown in future episdodes of speedfactory. So before folks go placing judgement, or thinking they have it all figured out, wait and watch some of the future episodes.
Monster stepped up more this year than in years past as far as NASCAR so I guess be grateful for what we got and hopefully they enjoyed the exposure.
When Robby wins his first race the company that does have their name on the hood will enjoy all the benefits. The ones who decided not to go with RG and / or left...well they can enjoy watching RG in victory lane with the rest of us. =]
NASCAR fans are the most loyal of any sports.
Hopefully that will be at Watkins Glen.
