Truck series is in TEXAS friday , cup series is in POCONO . The star trek transporter wasnt available.
No, they have known for awhile. Just because it wasnt posted until today, doesnt mean anything. Mike tried to make it happen, but couldnt. Most folks will get over it .
PJ qualifying might be a little bit of a nail bitter.. But on the other hand in the past when PJ did al the practice set up runs for Robby is car was set up pretty good.. Not winning quality set up, but not bad and Robby didn't complain. PJ has worked with Robby enough to know what Robby likes.
43 on the entry list as of now, but probably 44.
geoff bodine is in the 36.
last 3 fill in jobs were 'just keep it off the wall' racetrim vs 100% Q trim this week. No holds barred. Checkers or wreckers in Qualifying. He has driven a race or 2 in his career.PJ welcomes the challenge. No doubt it will be a pressure situation once the green flag drops.
Looking back on Charlotte, I think using the Showdown as a test session helped get the setup better. Robby's car was very fast all night, and during parts of the race had the fastest car on the track. That says alot about a team. On the downside, too many gremlins... AC hose disconnecting made it very uncomfortable to drive all night. Having the radio loss killed the communication which lead to wrong adjustments, which lead to hitting the wall. The biggest problem was something we've been hearing about for years...pit crew. Robby is passing many cars under green, but after pit stops will find himself back behind the same cars he just passed. When you look at the group of cars Robby was running with prior to the first pit stop, they all finished in the 19-22 positions (Robby was faster than all of them most of the night) Robby had a Top 15 car, but the crew was killing him all night. I'm sure Robby wanted Gene or he wouldn't be there, but he didn't like Gene throwing something under the car without talking to him first (Robby let that bother him for a good portion of the night). The way I see things, IMO, Robby is very talented, RGM can build a very fast race car, TRIAD has been pretty good, Robby has good people around him (Larry Carter, Gene), Robby has a solid spotter...but the pit crew is just so off. No offense to anyone over the wall that might be a fan here, but we all see how it is killing Robby's chances. I'm not sure if it's the unit or one or two pieces, but something needs to be addressed. If Robby finishes were he should have, probably 14th-18th range, we're solid in the Top 35. (If Robby has a Top 20 pit crew, he'll have Top 20 results. You're only as good as those around you!)

Alot of positives were seen last night, the car was very fast and got better later in the run. Just can't keep passing the same bunch of guys. No excuse for the AC and radio issues on a car you prepared that much into. Robby needs a solid finish at Pocono and Michigan to get locked in for Sonoma (We don't want him running conservative qualifying laps at Sonoma).

To get back inside the TOP 35:

Beat the 38 by 6 positions
Beat the 37 by 9 positions
Beat the 34 by 12 positions
Beat the 71 by 18 positions (could be a start & park at Pocono & Michigan. If the 71 begins to "Start & Park" RGM will jump back inside the Top 35 regardless)
some miscommunication between Gene & RG,no question. They will move past it, they already have , and Gene is still there today.
He better be, or excuse my french, I'd be fucking pissed.
I concur.
acc... centuate the positive... eeeelim...inate the negative....
Maybe you should post step by step instructions on how to do that , because it could be awful hard for some to do. :-)
