I too am looking for the speed. Not sold on that Yota power.
I've stayed quiet for too long with all this negativity.

Everyone here needs to realize that Robby Gordon and Robby Gordon Motorsports don't like running 30-40's every week and are trying their absolute best to correct whatever is ailing them. So don't bitch about the cars, and say oh they must be building piece of shit cars because they don't know what they are doing. Robby's a smart man and I'm sure bringing in Carter and Lupo are steps to get things moving forward. When I was at the shop interning, I lived with Glenn Wheeler, I can attest that Glenn worked usually 14+ hours a day in the shop so as fans we cannot sit here and say that they are not trying. Every time they build a car, they realize something that they can improve on and get to building a new one. So in regards to the cars performance, summarizing..
Robby Gordon can drive a racecar - yes
Guys at the shop working their asses off - yes
Good Crew Chief, Car Chief in place - yes
Sounds like to me eventually things will get straightened out.

Lastly, I know we haven't had any of these races yet, but I hate hearing people bitch about oh the car is un-sponsored and why cant we get ??? to sponsor a race car. Its probably because ??? doesn't want to be involved in NASCAR. I was in the marketing department when I was there with Tom and Kevin, and those two busted their asses on a daily basis. Kevin did the work of like 4 people, and Tom was constantly looking for sponsors so if the car is un-sponsored its not from a lack of trying.
I cant go into specifics, but there is a huge problem with NASCAR with teams selling races for way less than they can afford to and taking a loss. RGM is not big on doing that from what I know, so if a sponsor says we can only go $100,000 and RGM needs $250,000 they don't take it, but some teams do which hurts teams financially because then every sponsor will want those rates.

So on Sunday, be glad that Robby Gordon is driving the #7 car, because who knows how much longer you will be able to enjoy that. If things don't get better then at least you can say that Robby tried his damnedest. But I am a negative person usually and I believe that there is a lot of hope with Robby and his team.
Thanks Garrett. I agree.
Great Post Garrett!!
Love it
Are you fucking blind? Changes? How about hiring Larry Carter and Jay Lupo, and getting a new template from Joe Gibbs racing, and forming a partnership with BAM to run more races and pay the bills? Those are changes.

I would say that there is not that big of different between RG's COT's and others, and with a good crew chief we can run 15th-20th in points.

I'm a negative person, and when he sucks I'll tell you he sucks, and he has sucked, but its not because they aren't trying.
+100
Fuck it ! $2 footlong subs for you all day today , Andy.
This guy has fan gear you can buy.:

I hear he runs with the leaders quite often, and doesn't waste his time driving off-road trucks anymore. You should check him out. Being his fan might lower your blood pressure some.
if it makes you feel any better, Robby spent 16 hrs a day this week in his nascar shop.
thats awesome TOG! Love the dedication and drive RG has!
Maybe Robby should dust off some of the leftover Menards motors from 2005....
