I have a Husaberg FE350 that I really enjoy...as a play bike to dink around with the kids. But for 'serious' riding I pull a two-stroke out of the stable.

True Mike, I wish I still had my 78' It 250. That bike never let me down. I did manage to tear up my 74 CR125 a couple times. The only way to make it move was WFO....lol. The 78' Maico 490 was a sponge in the fire road cut's. It almost killed me though..

@J.R. I've seen/heard of plenty of all mfg 4strokes  blowing up.Personally I believe 4 strokes are the death of motocross,I'm just suprised it's taken this long.

WJM know's I'm a Yamaha guy and well a Honda guy.

But there again it was a 4-stroke. We have had good luck with my son's YZ. After we wore out the CR he started on, the choices were limited. I settled on the YZ simply because parts don't cost as much as the KTMs. Matt will turn 18 this summer, and I get to race again. My new bike will fer-damn-sure be a 2-stroke!

Thanks, just glad it wasn't a Honda....lol

I purposely didn't mention the mfg of the bike....I knew Mike would. The first time it cost over $600 just in parts. This time it also put a hairline crack in the crankcase. Just shoot it.

Damn Yamaha's

and you wonder why I'm a two-stroke guy?!

A friend's bike...Second time this year. He's done. The remains are going on craigslist. Asked if I would sell him one of my 2-strokes.
