I cant confirm, but one of the shops that supplies parts to RGM mentioned that RG might be withdrawing as they seem to be working on the Dakar stuff back East. Also the budget to race the 1000 down to LaPaz is very, very expensive. Since RG does not have Monster's money to cover the cost anymore and with Dakar just around the corner I would suspect this might be what is happening.

Now with Andy posting he is looking for a Baja 1000 ride and Speed Energy listing that RG is racing Homestead, not Kevin Conway and with Soylent's thread being deleted I am thinking this might be true. I'm sure PR was told to censor any questions regarding the Baja 1000 or questions about RG not racing it, until RGM is ready to announce they have withdrawn.

A course this could be all wrong and the TT could already be prepped and ready to race and maybe Greg Till is getting back in the right seat? I might have to call Greg and see how he is doing!

I saw Andy's comment and wondered also what was going on....surprised there is no other posting about Baja 1000 since it is getting so close.

so.... what is going on with Grider and RG
On Andy's Facebook today he posted:
It feels good to be heading home to be with my family. Dose anybody need a second driver for the baja1000. I am free to drive

seems like big news. That is why i made a thread about it. I guess it disappeared. Anyway try the Baja wall.

here is what he said

makes me believe he was let go OR RG isn't running the Mill this year.

Inquiring minds want to know.

It is sad that spectators lost lives at the race at Lucerne on Saturday. I recall Dakar a few years back Robby almost ran into the crowd near the finish, fortunately he had control of his Hummer, but this guy had no control. Even at NASCAR races sometimes spectators get injured, it is the risk of being at the race near the front. I feel bad for the driver, he has to live with this for the rest of his life. Joan
