STAGE 1 TRACKING

STAGE 1: BUENOS AIRES > VILLA CARLOS PAZ

Connection 663km | Special Stage 170km | Total 833km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The competitors will be rapidly plunged into the heart of the Argentinean countryside. The combination of the route’s different features means that there will be something for everyone, while sticking to relatively simple criteria, for the time being. Fast tracks coupled with sharp bends will divide up the vehicles, according to the levels of the drivers, who will be tested in an exciting environment which marks this first special stage, but without singling out any particular category. At the end of this warm-up, the day will fi nish with a long liaison section to the first bivouac.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Disagree - why would you want to lose positions?

These were just draw positions I wouldn't draw any conclusions on where they started today. They'd be foolish to go all out with all new cars.

that's correct, maybe they're not so good on the WRC'ish stuff, like we predicted

they did a good job of not losing the Rally on day1
Well done rgm smart first day gotta stay in it to win it, gas on!!!

latest from nani ...
30km into the SS , in tow with one of the factory truck .
3 hours behind !

After all the problems for RG last year let's hope all the Mini's will be under enough pressure to break !
I'm sure Robby knows enough about race car driving, to not over stress the Gordini at this early stage, gas on RG and team Speed.

"Big Movers of the Day" would seem to be :

Ten Brinke in the Toyota - started 16th and was up to 3rd before finishing 7th.

Spetaro in the Renault - started 17th and finished 6th.

Poulter in another Toyota - started 28th, apparently made it to WP1 in 2nd, then finished 14th.

Romain Dumas - Pikes Peak champion - started 31st, finished 19th.

Good day today sorry I missed you all for chat .

Roma stuck again before CP2. he had help from his support truck and got going, but the car broke again halfway to cp2, he is now almost 4 hours behind. Don't think he will finish the stage or the day. Since he has another couple cp to go plus 544 kilometers of liaison to Villa carlos Paz.

Yeah most likely done.

Long way to go yet guys, keep them Mini's under pressure, last year was way to easy for them! It's fingers crossed for Robby !
