INDYCAR: CEO Randy Bernard Fired During Emergency Board Meeting

Although Robby hasnt raced IndyCar in quite sometime, I thought this was still extremely relevant.

For all who have been following the IndyCar drama over the last few decades, you should be aware that the past year was one of THEE best seasons ever in American open wheel racing.

What are your thoughts? What do you think will happen next year?

The reason that I am a Robby Gordon fan is because I was a fan of AJ Foyt and grew to root for Robby. Although I must admit i was pissed as hell the day that RG tried to knock the wall down at Indy and AJ retired. My point is that I was an open wheel fan before becoming a Nascar fan and I continue to be an open wheel fan. It amazes me of the momentum that Indycar had (new car, more races, drivers, engine manufactures, american series champion) and now they take ten steps backwards. Firing the leader is not a good way to reach out to future business sponsorships and present themselves as having a bright future. I hope I live long enough to watch the Hulman George company go bankrupt...Tony George...what a joke . No Clabber girl in my household in the future

Tony George is just another victim of the Brian France school of thinking .

Pretty much everything comes back to NASCRAP.. right?

Not everything . I mean I don't blame him for high gas prices , bad economy , or wars lol . I'm just saying that Tony George thinks he has to compete with Brian France so he's naturally gonna try using his business ideals . I can remember when the Indy was the best race of the year , and exclusively an Indy type car track now look NASCAR even got their meat hooks into that . Plus look at how many of the other tracks Indy cars go to . Again NASCAR influences . ( Texas , Vegas , Phoenix , California , etc )

Wasn't it one of the worst seasons for TV ratings ???

The ratings were rough because they were on NBC Sports, but the overall consensus from the fans and the tickets sold, was it was good, and had positive momentum. The racing was great too.

agreed... great season of racing.

RIP to Tim Wardrop former engineer for RG at Walker Racing and longtime Open Wheel engineerand record holder of the fastest lap at Indy with the flying Dutchman as the pilot of the car. RIP Mr. Wardrop

Especially with RHR winning the Championship

I thought this year was great to watch, love the new cars
