Stage 8 - Sunday, January 11

Valparaiso > La Serena

Connection: 245 km | Special: 294 km | Connection: 113 km | Total: 652 km
After a day of rest on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, an easier restart has been programmed. On mid-range mountain roads, driving hotshots should be able to really strut their stuff. The experts in car positioning, trajectory and sudden braking will show how it’s done. But for the rally leaders, there is certainly more to be lost than won during this stage.

Bill, did RG only run the 37's or was he going to try the 35's on some stages to regain some power.
wait for the rest of the field.
Yea, but he will drop as the cars behind him cross CP1. Something happened before 111. Went from 5 min to 22 min down.
He got stuck on a rock in a river bed.
What are the rules at a CP / fuel stop? Gas and go? Stop for lunch and potty break?
Sainz is through at Km 258
Carlos is having a great day although I do not think he will win the ralley
He does at least, have some hefty competition.
miller wins best vw in the dunes
Miller will be the odd man out when push comes to shove at VW. VW will lean towards Sainz and De Villiers (provided they haven't had a major failure).

Miller is talented enough.

The VW is good enough.

But Miller is to team VW/Red Bull what Casey Mears was to HMS last year in Cup at this point.
