Stage 8 - Sunday, January 11

Valparaiso > La Serena

Connection: 245 km | Special: 294 km | Connection: 113 km | Total: 652 km
After a day of rest on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, an easier restart has been programmed. On mid-range mountain roads, driving hotshots should be able to really strut their stuff. The experts in car positioning, trajectory and sudden braking will show how it’s done. But for the rally leaders, there is certainly more to be lost than won during this stage.

that what we hope to happen anyway
Top eight are all within 3 minutes through 49km. I dont think anyone is pushing it too much at this point. If anyone is, its going to be Chicherit, Depping and Holowczyc, trying to make up some time.
Vigger thru 4:55 back
maybe he is going to team up with Eric and do some bump passing..
Gordon got stuck and lost a couple of min.
Depping comes through fastest through 49km, moving everyone down a step. RG down to 8th
10:50 - Car 309 - Gordon loses time...
The third to start this morning, Robby Gordon (Hummer) got stuck against a rock when crossing a dried river bed after 49 km of the day’s special stage. The American was able to resume after a few minutes, but Spaniard Nani Roma (Mitsubishi) was able to catch up and overtake him as a result.

Any damage to the Hummer?
They don't say.
not the start we were looking for
Good starts are important but its still where you finish that counts. GAS ON ROBBY!
true lots of course left....anything can happen
