EV is using a modified Protruck chassis; RGM had nothing to do with it.

Since it is a "modified" pro truck chassis perhaps RGM helped with the mods? Regardless though RGM could have done a lot of things to help prep it for Dakar. I don't know that they did, but the logic of 'it's a protruck so RGM had nothing to do with it' doesn't make sense to me.

Was looking at the entry list yesterday and saw the 2nd Hummer with two French dudes as drivers. I almost posted it Yesterday. Then I thought that cant be right..... Well I was wrong! They will make great mules for Rob.

I think using Eric will be a good choice. There were originally some hesitations with using Eric because he is considered a priority driver. Team Dakar has to conform to certain restrictions now that they didn't have to before. Some of these are a smaller restrictor plate and tire restrictions. In the long run its not a huge hindrance, but it does make a difference.

He seems to be comfortable with the 'team' concept of being a water carrier if needed. Thats something that isn't really normal for American racers and goes against the grain of how we race here. If he could wheel a protruck through the Dakar he can handle a Hummer. Sort of like going from a Busch car to a Cup car. Both are fast, one is just a little faster.
