someone gave me a little hot wheel type car not sure about the scale but it is a little bigger then a typical hot wheel in came in a box that says Micheal waltrip on the box and the car is black with a # 7and it has nations rent on the hood in yellow.i always thought # 7 in the nationwide series was Kenny Wallace and # 7 in sprint cup was robby. not to sure about history of #s in nascar can anyone tell me about this funny little car did POS ever drive a nations rent car with a # 7 on it in any series or is this just a toy.

Bare with me on the exact dates, but it seems to me that Geoff Bodine sold this team (formerly Kulwicki's) to Jeff Mattei in or around '98. Geoff later left the team to drive for Joe Bessey. Michael Waltrip took over the ride. Nations Rent then came on board as the primary sponsorship. This car is about a '99 or 00 model. Like I said, I am not quite sure on the date, but maybe this will get you started on your research. Also wasn't it Mike Wallace who took over the ride when it was sold to Ultra Motorsports?
If you go to the NASCAR site under Number History, you can at least find the driver for any car back to '75.

THANKS PEOPLE
I think Robby did drive the Nations Rents #7 for Jim Smith At Sears Point in 2001
He drove the #7 for 2 races in 2001
I did the photo gallery on RG's official site. I put in every finish of every race with pics. The pics had/have stopped being uploaded because BC had a short vacation last year. Now he is on perminate vacation. so I don't know who RG has slated to update or continue to update the gallery but I did spend over a month in 2003 getting that shit strait. So if you want any facts as to what, when, where and how he raced in CUP and Open Wheel it's there.

There is almost 18,000 photos.

Thank you for the job you did then, wasn't aware of who did it, but figured it was BC's duty/passion since I joined the rest of the Robby fans on the Ning sites.
The off-road section was taken down from the site for a little while recently, but I see it's been put back.

This is another excellent site for info on 7 car:
