STAGE 13 TRACKING

STAGE 13: VILLA CARLOS PAZ > ROSARIO

Connection 519km | Special Stage 180km | Total 699km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Aspiring winners will certainly be those who find the 180km of the day’s special section the most difficult, designed with twisty, undulating routes, faster sandy and rocky sections… leading to significant levels of stress. For most of the others, the 699km to be covered before reaching the podium in Rosario will be a relief. To be enjoyed without moderation…

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Sorry to hear about the accident and I hope the injury to the driver is not real bad.

Any "oficial" report concerning the accident ???

Nothing yet

That's not good,. oh fu...

Boy, this does not look good at all for the RG team. I hate to use the word shameful and foolish, but it does look that way. And injuries too ? Apparently Sheldon's grandfather was thrown from the support car into the oncoming traffic lane, and broke his leg in four places. I can see why Robby ( who must have been driving, as this was part of the liaison stage) would have to stay at the scene of the accident to help, but for legal reasons too. This sort of ending is unfortunate from every imaginable angle. :(

who's h3 ? support vehcle?

Yes
Just watched it, I really hate to be critical of the team but that was just stupid. I admit, I don't know any of the facts of what was going on, but the video shows a real stupid move. That could have been REAL bad. Lucky for all involved it wasn't.

OOOOOHHHH men ooooohhhh men i don't believe this ..!!

Typical open wheel over-ride. Terrible way to end a race.

Wow, that is scary. I hope they are all ok. It looked as though the Hummer had a decent amount of weight in it from the attitude of the rear suspension, but if you couple that with large tires, heavy vehicle, top heavy, and topography of the accident scene (height of the pavement compared to ditch), unfortunately it is going to roll. If any of the older members remember all of the fuss years ago that the national news did of the CJ-5 Jeep rolling, back in the 80's , when I was in High School I was fortunate for my dad to get me a CJ-7 as a first car. It did not end well for me..... My Mom was convinced it was dangerous , my Dad told her... "No that wont happen"... Anyway, within one year I was driving around 45 mph, had some new BF Goodrich's that were literaly less than one moth old, left rear tire blew, rolled about eight times, thankfully did not hurt myself. Bottom line is when they start to go over it happens so fast. Now I find myself looking for a used Jeep for my son for High School (maybe I am nuts)..... Anyway just my personal story of my roll over, not comparing my incident with this at all, again hope they are ok. Get home safe, Team Gordon
