STAGE 6 TRACKING

STAGE 6: UYUNI > UYUNI

Connection 181km | Special Stage 542km | Total 723km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The longest special section of the Dakar takes place on the 6th day of consecutive racing. And that is not the only difficulty of this operation, which will take place between 3,500 and 4,200m in altitude. The pace and surfaces change constantly, alternating between sand and rock, which may be disconcerting, especially if it rains. Glimpses of the Salar d’Uyuni are but one of the visual delights on the agenda. Meanwhile, the truck category, which will race separately on this 6th stage, will visit the home town of the President Evo Morales.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

14:41 : Cars: Lavieille back on the tracks

Christian Lavieille, behind the wheel of his Duster number 308, has re-joined the special after a long halt due to a technical problem.

The 308 was ahead of the 312 in the overall this morning. Should be another +1

It's interesting how nobody comes close (timewise) to the pugs

Yazeed in the Toyota keeping up - almost - and he started 17

imo he was faster in the mini last year

Yazeed was driving a Toyota last year, doing very well, until the valves went on his cylinder head......

Yazeed has only been in a Toyota at DAKAR, this year and last

lol wtf, i thought it was mini man-o-man!

let me know when there is a dune stage

Are they in sand now ?

I suspect a secret engine computer program something like the VW emissions recently exposed, stays hidden. Gives the motor what it wants on demand, not stock for sure.
