STAGE 2 TRACKING

STAGE 2: VILLA CARLOS PAZ > SAN JUAN

Connection 107km | Special Stage 518km | Total 625km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Any rest will be short-lived, because before reaching San Juan, the competitors will have a particularly busy schedule: quite simply the longest special stage in the rally, which is varied enough to unsettle even the most experienced of drivers. Hard terrain at the start of the race will be followed by dusty sections in the middle of the day and a sandy stretch to finish. This is the first real test, which can only be successfully overcome through constant vigilance.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

OMG still only 52 back and gordon I 50th position only a couple of mins off a good few ahead of him
Is there only 54 cars left ?? Out of 137 after stage 2 or is the website messed up or just not finished yet

135 Cars Started the Stage, only 54 have finished after 12 Hours of Racing Time.

we knew heat was going to a B

Tend to agree. On the other hand Carlos Souza is a one man band. He finished 6th twice, so see how he goes this year
But very xperienced dakar Guy .
Can add in a very new team for this year. Previously he was driving the HAVAL Chinese Diesel Pickups with a 3litre engine.

Sounds like Stage 2 was about like a Baja 1000 run to the tip!

Plus another 10 racing after that ... Ouch

Per Robyn Gordon RG requiring IV for dehydration.
