STAGE 10 TRACKING

STAGE 10: IQUIQUE > ANTOFAGASTA

Connection 58km | Special Stage 631km | Total 689km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The special stage, split into two sections with very different features, will begin with the descent towards the shores of the Pacific. The advance gained in the stage the day before may will be increased in the sand during the first two hundred kilometres. Even more skill will be required to tackle the sections of fesh-fesh in the second part of the stage. Once this difficult area is behind the drivers, they will all be delighted to twist and wind along the region’s mine tracks, and in particular to be welcomed by the majestic arch of La Portuda, a stone’s throw from the bivouac in Antofagasta.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

that's crazy. maybe Robby should have run the International.

So we never found out what happened to the roof scoop yesterday?

not that I've heard but the fix and return to original fixes made it weak?

doesn't sound like they went over so maybe just blew off?

It would seem that the Dakar this year was intentionally laid out in a very tight WRC format for most of the stages. That favors Mini's or European type vehicles for obvious reasons. Why because they feared a possible win from someone else or at least that's my opinion.

Nope; that's just the nature of the terrain pretty much every year in South America. Africa has a lot more dunes and wide open spaces, but they're not in Africa anymore, so it's just a fact of the terrain they race across every year in SA. Provided RG makes some major updates to the HST for next year, he should be more of a threat for the top 5.

I agree 100%

no, porque el año pasado fueron mas dunas e igual ganaron los minis, pero el Hammer H3 se perfilaba para hacerse de la victoria.
