STAGE 6 TRACKING

STAGE 6: TUCUMAN > SALTA

Connection 270km | Special Stage 424km | Total 694km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Once they have left Tucuman, the cars will head north and drive along part of the renowned Ruta 40, and continue on in the heart of one of Argentina’s most beautiful landscapes. The possibilities to widen the gap will be limited but the most skilled drivers may be able to seize the opportunity of adding a stage to their list of wins. A new trip to the mountains will take motorcyclists to the banks of the rivers. They will have to remain vigilant until the very end of the stage as the region is frequented to a great extent by animals of all sizes. Then they will finally be able to rest.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

I am one of those nascar shitheads.

I'm a stock car whatever, Na$crap is an organization not a sport

I think this year is a development year. RG and team can learn from the bad and ugly issues about the HST and fix them for next year. Every stage he completes adds more data for the notebook. I can think of 3 things right away that need to be improved for next year. I think most importantly it needs to be just a bit faster overall. Without Stage 1 and 2 issues and the 1hour penalty would be about a top ten finish in overall standings (as of today). Development of Nascar, Indycar etc.. is much easier, you get a new race each week to try again. This Dakar sh!t is tough and the winner is fastest and least amount of faults. But lets give credit to the team and RG they are still chugging away and maybe we get stage win before its all over. It is one reason why I watch it every year.

This is the greatest race in the world now and as long as he willing to come down here and race for a win its a good thing. Gas On!

How come you guys didn't show up at my house for the swimming pool ice skaking??? I put up purple lights this year and the "Mixed couples skate" (for folks who don't like each other but still like what the other one likes but yet still has a differing view but still seems to be a part of.....well)......Anyway skaing on a swimming pool is a friggen blast and doing it during a blizzard.............well all I'm sayin is it's hard to argue with anyone when you are doing that. As far as bickering on the internet goes I recall back in 1952... we had us this here a radio you could here plum across the world and talk to folk...... and this guy from Northern Italy came all the way to our hometown just to prove he could make a ravioli with one hand............Boy were we fools for picking a fight with this guy, he only had one arm and it was in a jar aaaaahh Formaldehyde.........but the hand he used to make us some yummy cheese filled critters why it wer attached at the shoulder and he would a roll all over the table drinkin wine with a rubber hose and playin his geetar with his feet .....(with his friggen boots on) all the while bitchen and a screamin about how "everybody like Ravioli why we argue".........what a sight.......He was gone in the morning and so was our pride. I never crossed hairs with a stranger again.
Go ahead and say it.

I like ravioli

I used to be MD80891 on the boards, it killed me when Robby's Nascar effort failed. Still this the the greatest race in the world. And really the only one I wait for anymore. I was on the CART/Champ Car side of the civil war, Dodge and my drivers left Nascar plus they fouled it up with COT and whatever they call the new one is only marginally better. ALMS merged with Grand Am (was ALMS)

Separately,
Robby had it wrong on ethanol though, RVP of ethanol is much lower and boiling point much higher so if he wanted to stop vapor lock then he would run e85. Maybe next year if the rules allow it.

E-85 is allowed, but IMO it's not practical because of the poor milage, and the production engine doesn't have enough compression to make the same power as straight up gasoline.

Ecotec 3 makes 20 more hp on e85 than it does on gasoline, There is a penalty for mileage but it is less if it is mapped for E85 optimization instead of gasoline. You get more torque because the combustion cycle is longer and uses more stroke.

Ideally an e85 motor would be closer to 13:1 with some more advance.
