STAGE 5 TRACKING

STAGE 5: CHILECITO > TUCUMAN

Connection 384km | Special Stage 527km | Total 911km

COURSE OVERVIEW

After two race days with completely separate routes, everyone will gather together to tackle the longest stage of the rally. They will need to be extremely resistant to overcome these two sections of the special stage which will primarily feature sand. All day long the competitors will make headway on off-piste sections: those who have poorly assessed the limits of their engine will constantly be on the verge of overheating and all the more so, as the region’s temperatures are generally very high. At the bivouac in Tucuman, the candidates for the podium will have been whittled down to a select few, as many of them will no longer be a part of this elite group. For many others, their timing and mechanical mishaps will only become apparent in the middle of the night.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

12:35 : Start of the second part delayed

For safety reasons, the start of the second timed section has been delayed until further notice.

In the Radio Maray said the road is block by a protest

Employees from the local Mini Dealership using their lunch break wisely...

that is funny shit right there

I guess they want to be sure the Mini's can regroup and not lose so much time in the second section. If not, then they will probably cancel the second section.

Is it me or is it just convenient for the Minis when sections are delayed or cancelled?

Think of the river issue last year and you have your answer.

Nasser and Pecker must need time ti work on their cars.

You got it!

Delayed for all or just for cars to keep them from running over bikes?

I can agree with stage delayed for safety reasons, but they should tell us what they are (transparency). It sucks RG is doing well and if the momentum continues could really make up some more time on the leaders.

Some protesters are blocking the road for the support trucks to get to the bivouac, so it looks that this is it for today

ASO ill do anything to keep RG from winning a stage
