STAGE 4 TRACKING

STAGE 4: SAN JUAN > CHILECITO

Connection 211km | Special Stage 657km | Total 868km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The strategy of the motorcyclists will come into play: initially their navigational skills will be seriously tested at the beginning of the morning, and then they will be faced with the problem of worn tyres, as they have already been over-used the day before. As for the drivers of cars, they will have an even more demanding route to tackle in the countryside. The Dakar’s competitors haven’t faced a special stage this long since the historical one from Zouerat to Tichit in 2005! They will have to cross rivers, descend the canyons in a Wild West setting and beware of the other participants: as these terrains are often wide open, it will be entirely possible to overtake fellow competitors.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

15:15 Cars: Chicherit's buggy is on fire literally

A truck driver has reported that Chicherit and his crew have emerged unscathed, but the Frenchman's Chevrolet-powered buggy is going up in flames on the side of the course, 427 km into today's special.

Vigouroux probably wishes he drove it instead. That's to bad, feel sorry for him, it's been a long rough 4 stages.

I wish it was nassar and peterhansel's cars instead

Bummer for Chicklet

Go Carlos Sainz Go!!!!

my chat craped out

Everyone quit wishing bad luck on other drivers or it will be RG that ends up receiving it.

Like stage one and two wasn't bad luck? I hope nassar breaks.

Not wishing BAD luck on others just BETTER luck for the SPEED wagon

Bikes - Juan Garcia / Sherco started 43rd and won the bike stage by 29 sec over Chaleco and 3 min
over Coma. Despres is way late - was in 5th heading for the finish.

chat boot I knew I should have not touched the red button.
