STAGE 2 TRACKING

STAGE 2: SAN LUIS > SAN RAFAEL

Connection 365km | Special Stage 433km | Total 798km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The fastest special stage of the rally, at least for its first part, will also be the one where drivers will have to face the first dunes. And it won’t just be a brief encounter with sand: in the last 100 kilometres, the exploration of the grey dunes of Nihuil will be even more intensive than during previous visits. The sand is more firm there, but the experience will provide a great deal of insight about each of the competitors’ technical skills. In short it will be a veritable test.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

If they did they'd need a fuel tanker right along side!

850?

T-4 trucks?

Redline I see your point. I dig our tradition. But my point still stands. It's tough for us to enter their tradition - tougher than we think.

Couple more points:
(1) I'm not convinced a 900hp TT could win Dakar.
(2) Robby made a point a couple of years ago. I believe it was a BITD race. Robby said he though he might have been faster in his Hummer that day than in his TT (or perhaps it was the truggy). I think his point was that the course that day was tighter and a better handling car might have been faster.

Still only 37 cars in and only 126 bikes. The second half of the special must be interesting.

Heck, might get into the top 40 tonight. :P

Well at least he beat BJ today. I take that as a positive.

and yesterdays winner

+1

That tow photo was from stage 1.

very sneaky

No, is today's pic! The tow truck is a Toyota maybe 344 or 345, the design of these toyotas is the same for all, because they are from the dakar series!
