STAGE 1 TRACKING

STAGE 1: ROSARIO > SAN LUIS

Connection 629km | Special Stage 180km | Total 809km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The competitors will wake up early to set off along the road in the region of Cordoba and start the race on some narrow tracks which will require the utmost vigilance. Each one will still be very fresh allowing them to tackle the stony sections or the blind jumps serenely. The competitors’ driving skills will be rewarded at the finish, where they will have already clocked up 800 kilometres. Although the gaps will not be significant at this stage of the race, it is nevertheless important to maintain their position in the part of the standings that they are aiming for!

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

well it will be interesting to see if he can continue or if they can make repairs.

Very true. Vapor lock is so strange in sophisticated engines.

Nasser Al - Attiyah to Peterhansel.

Nasser still trying to win on the first day, Peterhansel knows better........damn that actually hurt to admit ...........

My guess is that's when/where the 300 had to change a tire.

Did yazeed racing enter with the h3?

no, he injured his back earlier this year so he did not enter the '14 Dakar... RG was going to drive the second hummer for yazeed but that deal fell through so he had to rush the development of the HST.

OK. I remember thevideo of the back injury. The hst is cool but doubtful its ready for Dakar. Too bad the h3s are sitting though.
Noticed the 26+ min penalty. Is this than amount of time he missed his start by? Heavy sign.

Too many experts here and none of you work with RG. lol, come on, sh.. happens,. hate that to happen to often to RG,. let's be honest,. at the end, can't compare this to the big team of the mini's, they work the whole year just on that, vs us working on the HST in a hurry way,. what were the odds to get it right or flawless. still there, gas on RG,. hope they found and fix the problem,. will cheer for him no matter what,. RG is the man.

+1

I think everybody hoped the HST was the culmination of 7 years of Hummer H3 racing experience. Ah well, lets see what tomorrow brings..
