With the 2014 Dakar Rally beginning in less than 45 days, here is a brief F.A.Q.

  1. Is Robby Gordon racing in the 2014 Dakar Rally? YES!
  2. What is the car number? 305
  3. What is he driving? A new design - called the HST
  4. Who is the navigator? Kellon Walch
  5. Is there going to be a 2nd car? No
  6. How come we haven't seen pictures of the car yet? It's still being built
  7. When will we see the car? Mid December
  8. Will the race be televised? Yes. NBC Sports Network TAPE DELAY recap show.
  9. How can we follow the rally? You're already at the right place.
  10. When does the rally begin? Stage 1 begins on Jan 5th.

It looks like Eric agrees with Robby. Whilst the progress made on the buggies driven by Al Attiyah and Sainz last January are already visible in terms of design (“It would have been difficult to make them uglier,” jokes Vigouroux

I refuse to watch that video solely based on my refined taste experiment. I am placing blinders on all senses, taste, sight, sound,.......what are the other ones?? Any way eating wings and beer listening to "The Doors" and watching birds come to the feeder out the window........for now. Thursday is the day that may change the whole freaking thing around here.

So, just looked alittle closer at that the Car entry list. I now know what Quinn Cody is doing this year - Co-Dawg for BJ Baldwin. (Everyone probably already knew this).

Great Video! It would be interesting to see how the bikes and quads would deal with the local transit people at the Bolivian border if the routing goes that way.

The 20th was originally an 'estimate' of when the car might be revealed, but the sneak peek photos came out much earlier than the 20th.

There are a few things in the works, but they will be released at a time TBD. Could be tomorrow, could be over the weekend, etc. When you least expect it....
