Dakar 2014/Robby Gordon: "do not make error!"

Thursday, November 21, 2013 11:31

Robby Gordon © DPPI
Pure simplicity: dressed in a basic hooded sweatshirt and jeans, Robby Gordon is the 'Darling' of many global media. His clothes can certainly read the name of his stable and some partners but, man made in the sober without looking like a poster! It is in no way comparable with the 'strict' dress codes, but especially immutable almost, of the Rally-Raid.

The U.S. treats its appearance. Because under its 'baba-cool' air, Robby Gordon is also a businessman who knows how to exploit its brand, its name and its famous 'jump' who show enthusiasts! Her I - Pad by hand after the meeting of the interviews which he was prey, communication is part of his job as, for the first time, he has deigned to move to Paris to attend the presentation of the outline of the Dakar 2014 at the Pavilion Gabriel in Paris. However, for Gordon, ' it must also try to win the biggest rally in the world! We can not blame him a lack of panache, but after eight participations, the best outcome of the famous Hummer is that a fifth place in 2012. So for Gordon, how can go about to enter his name on the list?

-Robby, in what state of mind do you approach the next Dakar?
Robby Gordon: "Last year, I made a good start to rally. I was in rhythm until the fourth stage, where I make a terrible mistake that makes me lose a lot of time. Then, I knew to be in rhythm until the end by winning two stages (Editor's Note: after the 4th stage, he has done, in addition to its two wins, a second place, four third places, a fourth, a fifth and her worst result was the very last day, a sixth place in special). This confirms that the Hummer has the means to win a Dakar. We certainly had the fastest car of the plateau. But this command also exercise extreme caution, especially during the early stages."

-Ce Hummer, you did still evolve, at what level?
Robby Gordon: "We have worked on the car to make it more stable, flexible, and even faster, thanks to work on aerodynamics. We have also provided a meticulous, careful to make smarter and that it gains agility, especially for the technical steps, WRC style, where it turns many.

-The discovery of the details of the route developed by David Castera, you should know fully the benefits of the developments of the Hummer?
Robby Gordon: "We are not surprised by the unveiled route. We know that the Dakar is seeking to expose us to all land, should therefore be effective everywhere. This is the big challenge of this event. "I think actually the Hummer with its improvements is able to get the game."

-The objective is to win?
Robby Gordon: "Always!..."

-How?
Robby Gordon: "The advantage of our vehicle: it's very fast!" To win therefore know take advantage of the faster parts and not to give too much time in the parts that are less advantageous always careful not to commit any errors."

lufao he has a bran new dodge truck with his support truck!!!!!! he cant run in the class he's in with out production support,,,,, andt FIA WITH THE MINis!!! has to be factory dodge support ... has to be to run production class get a clue

The medium duty truck towing the toy hauler looks too me to be an International. Just to be thinking out loud and add to speculation. I don't think that Navistar owns any vehicle brands than International.

its still a hummer ....

mabey he bought the hummer brand

Whatever brand / route Robby is going, it's gonna take some bucks. Has a new I sponsor stepped up to the plate?

no major new partners I've heard of.

No restrictor I see.

haha

Jeep Sr8 body?

Hybrid Super Truck.... That's it!
