Robby Gordon confirmed entry in the Dakar and rumor has it he will go for his last chance to grab Victory. With the mighty Hummer sold, his new truck has some big shoes to fill. At least it will not be Robby's driving skills that prevent him from the title! Robby Gordon Motorsports

@Billy, yes, we've seen that pic, and Robby has identified it as "The Mule." It's a form of Robby's truck certainly. We also know that knew skin is coming. So I have to ask myself, why the do I care what the skin looks like? Heck, half the time the rear "truck bed" panels are left for the lizards to explore. Don't know if I can answer this outside of some deeper introspection. I just do.

It's good times. I think it would be really funny if Robby announced early December, "Hey, we've decided to make you all wait until mid December now to see the actual racer, but here's another glimpse of her."

I'm also interested to see if there's a major sponsorship going on, but my guess is that the racer will continue to be Speed Energy's flying billboard. Robby probably has zero interest in sharing his billboard with GM or anybody else. I have no idea how Speed is doing in South America. I have think that they sell it there.

I think it was only last year where the chat was that Robby would be going to Dakar if the funds could be managed. I've heard no money talk this year. Seems the business side of things are hanging in there this year for Robby and company. Good for them. A strong RGM enterprise makes for amazing off road racing.

Why do you feel like thats true?

Bricoop, I misspoke. Robby does share his billboard. When I wrote this, I was thinking about how important his billboard is to Speed and SST. These are his business efforts. I think I was thinking, say, GM came along with a fat deal for Robby. He, more than most, would be reluctant to sell away his billboard.

BUT, I could see Robby selling the shape of the vehicle to the Chevy Colorado. My guess would be bright Orange paint, with Speed, SST, Toyo as the majors on the billboard. The Chevy Colorado skin is a WAG (wild ass guess). The rest is the obvious - duh ya think - part.

The world can handle two different teams using the same Chevy Colorado skin. The example for this is NASCAR.

NO,to the Colorado body,NOT happening.

I talk about sharing the billboard on a racer. Of course Robby sells these spots. I don't exactly how this works. Obviously, the more names you put on a car the smaller they get. Who knows, Robby might have picked up the same Chevy Colorado skin that BJ and EV will be dressed in.

This gets me thinking, BJ and EV are the hired wheelers. Jefferies is the car builder, Chevy gets to show her Colorado skin, but who's the owner of this effort?

Eric Vigouroux Racing,Eric Vigouroux,Eric has some support from GM bfe not GM Detroit.Robby's effort has nothing to do with ERV.
We've seen the EVR truck body,it's homely IMO,looks very little like the artist's conceptual artwork.And it's a reskin'd Bugly

Many will remember Eric drove HUMMER#2 in 2009 Ronn Bailey's VanGaurd as the sponsor.

Mike, read this article. The EVR truck we've been looking at is Mule skin. The EVR/Jefferes/BJ/EV effort is going to get the Colorado skin. That's what the article says anyway. It's dated 11/8/13. That's pretty recent. I know chit changes.

As I read their article,I don't read anything about a mule body? Eric doesn't have the resource's (IMO)to build a test body and a race body.Time will tell if the Bugly pick-up body will actually look the drawings.

So the article answers more of my questions. Eric V is not only a driver, he's a team owner too. I think EV, Jefferies, BJ, and now Chevy Colorado is a sweet set-up for Dakar. I love that they put this together. They will give Robby a run for it. Love what appears to be a strong American effort.

No wonder Nasser crawled back into Mini. But seriously, Nasser wants to win, and the Minis are winners. Plus Nasser came from this world. I can see why he would jump back. He will run up front with Peterhansel.

Robby and Friends.

So is BJ going to drive a Hummer

No,BJ is driving a EVR #318
