SPEED ENERGY STADIUM SUPER TRUCKS™ SERIES ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO 2013 SCHEDULE

CHARLOTTE, NC (June 18, 2013) – Robby Gordon OFF ROAD™ announced today that its Stadium SUPER Trucks™ Series (SST) will make venue and schedule changes that will alter the remainder of its 2013 schedule. Included is the addition of an SST event July 13 and 14 in Toronto.

According to series founder Robby Gordon, administering the first six races of the season in a span of only nine weeks was a difficult but rewarding challenge for the Stadium SUPER Trucks Series workers and crew.

“With such an immense undertaking in staging huge events like this around the country, and running six races in nine weeks, the schedule didn’t always allow us to optimize event preparation and race vehicle maintenance,”

Gordon said.

“We learned a lot that will help us continue to bring the most exciting brand of motorsports to racing fans everywhere. The improvements in our schedule for 2013 will enhance our program by helping us build our brand and position SST for a great 2014 season and beyond.”

New venues include 2 races in Toronto July 13-14 in conjunction with the IndyCar Series; Chicagoland Speedway July 19-20; and Crandon (WI) International Off Road Raceway August 30-Sept.1.

More details on the SST race at Toronto will be released later this week.

Removed from the original schedule are Chicago’s Soldier Field (June 22); Atlanta’s Georgia Dome (July 6); Dallas Cowboys Stadium (July 13); and the Minneapolis Metrodome (July 20).

The series is expected to announce in the coming weeks two additional events west of the Rockies for September and another in October.

SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks opened its season in Glendale, Ariz., on April 6th, and recently completed five more races over the following nine-week period that included the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, two events at San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium, and the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.

PT not even close...

It's not going to be on NBC Sports anymore? I upgraded my satellite package just for that channel. I guess I can go back to my lower tier package again. :(

That's about as bad as buying tickets to a cancelled show. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully we will have a live feed for the events.

I upgraded too....for Formula 1 ;-)

I've had it all along. MotoCross,Indycar and DAKAR.

+1

I upgraded also for SST but I am going to keep it for all the above^

Maybe MavTV will cover it?

No shot.
